“Fantastic place for families”

What a great place! We arrived very late having taken a red-eye and were greeted as though it were the top of the morning. Our room was impeccable and very cutely themed (as all of Disney is) and the pool was just outside the door - and open 24 hours. The kids were too wired to sleep so we all went swimming at 2 am. Very quietly of course - no need to be rude. I couldnt ask for a better 3 day get away and will definitley return for longer. This was just fun fun fun. But bring your money. If you need to eat during your vacation, it's gonna cost you.

The hotel grounds were beautiful!! My two boys (aged 3 & 6) loved the pool - especially the serpent slide! The room was nice and clean. First time to WDW and enjoyed everything... the staff, the resort and the parks were all above par! Would definitely reccommend this hotel to anyone!

“Perfect for Families”

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter

We stayed at the French Quarter from April 25 through April 28 and LOVED it! We would definitely stay here again. We have a 3 year old and a 4 year old and the smaller resort was perfect for them. They did enough walking at the parks.

The service was awesome! We checked in at noon, and our room was ready. Check-in was quick and easy, and we were at Magic Kingdom by 1:00. Bus service is very convenient. The longest we ever waited was 10 minutes. French Quarter is the first stop so we always had a seat. The food court was fine. The kids were in heaven! We thought the food was a bit pricy, but hey you're on vacation....what do you expect. Buy the refillable mug for $12.00...it's worth it.

Our room was immaculate. We requested a roll-a-way bed, and it was brought up within an hour of check-in. We were on the third floor of Building 4....great location. It was very quiet, and Building 4 is a short walk to everything.

Our kids loved the pool and dragon slide. They spent two hours just going on the slide! The pool area is so large that it never felt crowded even on a hot sunny afternoon. There is also a nice playground area for the kids to play on and benches for the tired moms and dads.

We had a great stay at the French Quarter, and I would recommend it for anyone.

Had the opportunity to stay at Disneys Port Orleans French Quarter Resort. Would recommend to anyone. The grounds were well kept, and the rooms were nice. I loved the two sinks we had in our room. The price was very fair. You cant lose staying here

“Great hotel, quiet for Disney”

My wife, I and our 3 year old son stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter from April 12-19 and absolutely loved it. It was our 5th Disney property over the past 10 years we've stayed at, and now consider it to be the best.
Simple reason was size. Each and every resort we've been at has been all we could ask for, but the French Quarter is a smaller property and you don't get the crowds/hassles that the larger resorts simply can't avoid.
FOOD: just one restaurant, cafeteria type set up, nothing fancy (pasta, hamburgers, pizza, etc), but perfect for breakfast before hitting the parks.
GROUNDS: well manicured with scaled down walkways that look like roads. Each of the buildings (we were number 3 of I believe 6 in total) are less than a 2 minute walk from the restaurant, pool, boat lauch, bus stops. Unlike other resorts which can be 10-15 minute walks from room to restaurant, no worries at French Quarter if you need to run back for something.
ROOMS: does the job, 2 double beds (one king available as well), sitting area, 2 sinks and seperate bath. Came with iron, coffee maker, hairdryer, safe, minifridge. We rented cot for my son ($15/day). Nice if it was included, but better than getting a terrible nights sleep trying to share a double bed with a child.
POOL: fantastic pool, water slide and never overly crowded due to it's large size and less guests to use it.
TRANSPORTATION: Disney buses are the best, come every 5 minutes to any and all parks. Port Orleans Riverside is the French Quarter's sister resort and is quite large, sits next door. It has 5 seperate bus stops, the French Quarter has only one. Nice advantage is the bus stop at French Quarter first, so you always get onto an empty bus. By the time it makes it's rounds through Riverside, the bus is packed, people standing. And equally as nice, on the way back from the parks, French Quarter is the first stop.
Another nice touch is the water launch that runs to and from Downtown Disney. It's a quiet 10 minute lazy ride that our son loved. Bit cool at night, but much more relaxing than the bus.
SERVICE: smiles all around, check in not a problem.
While we have enjoyed each of the other resorts, the French Quarter will be our preferred Disney resort simply for the relaxed laid back and quiet atmosphere the others simply can't provide.
