Not on the beach but on the river and equipped with a pool, this hotel is close to downtown and not far from the ocean. Rooms are VERY clean and the property has a well-maintained & affectionately-cared-for kind of "retro" feel. In the fall of 2000 a double room with a little "kitchenette" and cable cost aboput $50; I heard there are two apartments available for not much more per night--this would be an EXCELLENT value for a family.
