We stayed in a 3bedroom/2bath St. John villa the weekend of May 16, 2008. We had 6 girls ages 12 & 16 to celebrate our daughters' birthdays. This was the perfect place to stay for our large group without spending a fortune. Very roomy! With that many girls running around, doing each other's hair, swapping clothes, thank goodness for the space! I never felt frazzled because I was comfortable, and so were they. The 2 long couches in the living room are a great idea. The vanity areas (double sinks) in both baths are convenient. The kitchen is very well stocked, plenty of plates and glasses. I followed someone's advice and brought dishwasher detergent, dish soap & sponge & laundry detergent. They do not provide even a sample of these items, which would be very disconcerting if you were not aware of in advance. As stated there is a Super Walmart 24 hrs very close by. To my knowledge they do not provide disney transportation, althought I'm not absolutely certain of this. We drove there from Ft. Lauderdale, so we had our car. This is located right off I-535 sandwiched between Lake Buena Vista and Kissimmee. It's about a 10 min drive to downtown Disney & the waterparks, maybe 15-20 mins to the Disney theme parks. Good, safe location. Decent pool area with nightly outdoor movies, one indoor basketball court, gym/work-out room. Villas look freshly painted outside. Beachy, "Key West" style decor, comfortable beds, decent towels, good a/c, good closet space. Our unit had 2 lightbulbs out in the master bathroom and two paddles were broken off the ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms (unusual). I only notified them of this once we checked out though, but even with that, the apartment was clean, well-kept, well stocked, and pretty as a whole. We vacation in Orlando a few times each year, so many times I can't count. We have stayed in all caliber of hotels & resorts. This was a great stay for the price. FYI: AAA offered a better rate than the resort website. We were all very happy with the stay and would return and recommend!

My husband and I took my sister to Disney World and I did a lot of research on places to stay offsite. Mike Ditka's RBC resort was perfect. The room was spacious and the setting was very relaxing. We booked a combo flight/hotel via Expedia to get the a good deal on a 1 bedroom. The staff was professional and prompt when we asked for an additional blanket.

A huge benefit to this resort is the location. As mentioned in previous posts, RBC is located next to a Super Walmart. Aditionally, it only took us 10-15 minutes to drive to Walt Disney World (we left around 8:30am and took Hwy 192 to avoid toll highways). All in all, an excellent bargain for the price paid.

This is a GREAT place to stay. It is so much larger and nicer than a hotel room. Our room was recently redone. It had a beautiful kitchen, granite countertops, full-size appliances including a refrigerator, dishwasher, etc. and cute beach paintings and other accessories that made it feel "homey". The master bedroom had it's own bathroom with a great shower/tub and a HUGE walk-in closet and a TV. The other bedroom had a HUGE walk in closet too, and a TV also. There was another TV in the main room. We stayed in a 2-br/2br condo. Another especially important thing, the hot water tank didn't run out!!!! We took consecutive, hot showers and it was always warm. There is a pretty lake and it's just a short, scenic walk to the pools. One pool has a kid play area that my kids loved. There is also a hot tub and a beautiful deck. There was a nice gym and workout area, too.It was also very, very quiet. We never heard our neighbors once. It was also very clean. My family and I loved this place and would definitely stay here again!! :-)

My husband and I were traveling with my parents, going to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic via. Orlando. We spent one night in Orlando. I had originally booked us 2 rooms at a budget hotel when I got a "Hotwire Ticker" on the Runaway Beach Club. The Beach Club was running a special and the price for a Suite was basically the same price as the 2 budget hotel rooms. So I went ahead and booked the Beach Club. To call our room a Suite was an understatement. It was like coming to someones house! We even had a garage (though we didn't use it). Walk up some stairs to the main level and there was a full kitchen: tons of flatware, dishes, cookware, refrigerator with an icemaker! We had a loft with a airhockey / foosball table and a flat screen tv... another flat screen in the living room and yet 2 more flat screens: one in each bedroom... Bedrooms were nicely sized and the bathrooms were at least twice the size of any hotel I have stayed in.... and the closets (one in each bedroom) were walk in (6' x 8'). We also found a hall closet with a washer and dryer.... What an awesome place to stay! Check in was flawless and the personnel were efficient and professional. We went into Kissimmee for dinner and stopped by the liquor store for a little nightcap to take back with us and spent an awesome evening on the pool deck looking out over their lake (though small... it was scenic enough to enjoy a couple drinks next to while getting ready to start our vacation). We did not swim in the pool, but it looked fabulous with several sections to it and it looked like there was no shortage of lounge chairs if so desired. If we are back in Orlando, I would stay here again in a heartbeat!.
