I also agree with the earlier posts regarding Coral Lagoon. The accomodations were definitely new and, for the most part, clean. The only trouble we had in this area was the tile floors were not as clean as we would have liked for them to be. Also, I was irritated that the paper did not arrive until 10:30 am some mornings after I had to call to see if it was coming. While not a big deal to some, I was in our room a lot with our 1 year old for naps. Since I don't watch much TV, the paper is important. The kitchen is so well stocked, although I also missed having salt and pepper. I saw the shakers and assumed they were filled. Therefore, I did not buy that at the grocery. The coffee was great! The housekeeping actually bugged me wanting to clean the room. A great problem to have. I found the maintenance to be a little lacking as they share one guy between the three resorts which left us with a clogged toilet for a couple of days. The front desk people were very helpful especially Omar. We really got a lot of useful information from him. Our children are 5 and I which worked out perfectly. The five-year-old knew not to leave the room and did not. The 1 year old couldn't. But, I do agree with earlier posts that if you have toddlers that can open doors, I wouldn't stay here. All that said, we were very pleased and had a mostly pleasant stay there. Having been to the Keys before, we know how hit or miss the hotels can be. So, we were pleasantly surprised.

i agree with all of the other reviews about Coral Lagoon - it was stunningly beautiful and exactly what we needed. After a hectic three days in Key West we drove back up and stopped at Marathon for a couple of nights. When we pulled into the Marina resort the grin spread over my face - this was going to be every bit as good as the website showed it to be. The house was so clean, modern, comfortable and really spacious for the two of us. Although we did venture out to see the Dolphin Research Centre and to go to the Marathon Seafood Festival, we made the most of the house by hanging out by the pool or reading on the porch at the back in the rocking chairs. it was great to have such a well equipped kitchen - in fact we did cook at 'home' one of the nights which in itselft was just lovely. i would totally recommend these houses and if we found ourself in Marathon again its the first place i would book to stay again. First class!

This one is a gem. What you have is a collection of marina homes situated on a canal. The homes are nearly new with beautiful interiors and furnishings. Each home has two porches, one upstairs and one down, with a grassy area out back that leads to a walkway. We found the resort to be very quiet and relaxing, with excellent proximity to all the keys and their attractions. The pool area is very nice and quiet, with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. Another perk here is that you can use the facilities at Tranquility Bay, the nearby sister resort, where you'll get more of the resort feel. There they have multiple pools, a beach area, bar/food service, and a marina with rentals.

Coral Lagoon is a no-brainer for those wishing to be in a luxury accommodation in the middle keys.

I really thought that the place was as nice as it appeared on its web page. It was perfect for our family as everyone got their own room. The kitchen was very nice (real coffee provided for a real coffee pot) and the facilities were excellent. Everything appeared to be new. I would definitely stay there again.
