From the moment we arrived at the B&B for our second vacation, I knew this was going to be way better than I expected. The employees were so kind and friendly. They volunteered really helpful advice. They weren't vague...they were honest. We loved that. They helped us find great restaurants, gave great opinions about our activities... it was awesome. Plus the house is beautiful, comfortable, relaxing, clean and really gave us teh experience of being in one of the large beautiful wood houses of Key West. The breakfast was filling: Fruit, fresh baked breads, bagels, etc. The prices are very appropriate and sharing bathrooms with others is not an issue! Every one was so curious and the bathrooms were always very very clean! We realyl enjoyed our stay and will definitly go back!

My soon to be wife and I stayed with our best friends (married couple) at the Key West B & B last April. We had a wonderful experience, so much that I asked my girlfriend to marry me in the back under the palm trees. Our room had a jacuzzi tub and a beautiful balcony. Our friends had an upstairs room which was small but adequate.

Liz and staff were brilliant, our only complaint was that they don't do weddings so we had to pick another spot come this April, 2008. If you want to really experience Key West, sip on cocktails, keep the porch door open and let the breeze in, this is the place for you. The only reason I didn't give this a perfect 100% was that it was a bit too quiet and the other guests a bit too old (the typical guests were well above our age of 30 - 32) for us to enjoy the social banter.

We had searched for Key West accommodation on the Internet and found the "Popular" House, Key West Bed and Breakfast". It seemed too good to be true. It appeared to have everything we wanted and at a relatively reasonable price. Well, guess what? It was far better than our expectations and I would recommend it without reservations!

The House is a gorgeous old Victorian mansion with Deco art that makes you feel like you are in the Caribbean. You have free run of the entire common areas on the ground floor including the Kitchen - your food, drinks etc can be stored in the Kitchen Fridge! Our room was exactly as advertised, clean, well furnished and decorated, an ensuite bathroom and a private balcony for afternoon libations! There was also another common balcony with chairs, swinging chairs and a hammock for relaxation.

The absolutely most outstanding feature of the "Popular" House is it's Staff! Carol, Jody, and Liz are in a class all of their own. They understand the meaning of "Service". We have traveled extensively and I have never had better treatment anywhere!

We are looking forward to another visit!

Very homely feel to our stay in KW B & B.
Nice outdoor breakfast area with good selection of fresh fruits.
We took one of the rooms without private bathroom, but this did not prove a problem. There are no TVs or radios at this B & B & helps to keep the noise down in this old house.
Biggest asset is probably the friendly staff who were able to help & advise guests.
