Stayed at the Ocean Breeze for the 2007 Memorial Day Weekend...very nice little hotel near the southern most point. Nice and quiet at night and the rooms were spotless...we stayed in the cottage rooms behind the motel proper..but it was all very nice.....Only a block or
two off off Duval...but on the quiet end..so you have to walk a bit to get to the clubs, etc....

My wife and I stayed at the Ocean Breeze in Dec of 2003. I just found an old e-mail that gave a link to this site, so I decided to throw my 2 cents worth in. We stayed in one of the cottage rooms and loved it. We rented scooters and rode all over the island. We liked the idea of being close enough to the strip to have fun, but able to get away from the madness. Jim and Linda were very nice and the rest of the staff was very hospitable. Our room was nicely decorated and had most of the amenities we wanted-we weren't worried about room service!! We ended up getting married on the Western Union, so the trip turned out to be our honeymoon too. We also enjoyed the "yellow sheet" that we were given-EXCELLENT tips!! The drugstore breakfast counter was great and the Cuban restaurant was awesome. All in all, when our daughter gets a little older we will return to the Old Breeze and enjoy another visit. I highly recommend this place if you aren't looking for the resort/chain hotel-type amenities. BTW, try the Cuban coffee at the little drugstore across the street-it will WAKE YOU UP!!!!!!

The Ocean Breeze is a perfect place to just kick back and relax in Paradise! This was the "crews" third straight year staying at the Ocean Breeze. The Pool rooms are large, well decorticated and furnished. The back cabins are a cozy and perfect for budget travelers. The location is on the quite side of Duval Street (great after a full night of partying); only about a 10 to15 minutes walk to the action, with local shops right around the corner and the beach 5 minutes away. The pool, although small, is a perfect place to meet and chat with friends or to just relax. The most important part of the Ocean Breeze are the people. From the moment you arrive everyone treats you like family. Your hosts, Linda and Jim are just terrific, (Linda is always helpful in getting you a Jimmy Buffet sighting). Also, Sharon and DJ will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable, they will look into any excursion you want to take, make useful suggestions on where the great places to eat and where the "hot" spots are. They all actually care that you are enjoying your stay. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning!

We stayed here for a long Easter weekend. Our room had a single queen bed, a dresser, chairs & table, TV, a kitchenette area with a small sink, microwave and mini-fridge, and a bathroom. They provided paper towels, paper plates, plastic cups and plastic wear for the kitchenette which I thought was a nice touch. They also have wireless internet which we used. We paid about $200 a night after all the taxes were added. The room was very clean and neat. The bathroom was spotless and had a nice shower. I really have no complaints about our room (and I'm a little picky) other than it was a little dark and could have used another lamp by the bed for reading. The pool area was great - we would relax there every afternoon and enjoy the sun. The pool area was always neat and clean and plenty of lounge chairs to enjoy. It was a busy weekend and we noticed quite a bit of street noise while at the pool. All in all our experience was very pleasant there and we would stay there again.
