My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Heron House Court last month for our first trip to Key West. This place did a great job of providing everything we needed for our 4 night stay there. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, always smiling. Their recommendations were spot on. The location was great, we had a short walk to Duval St. and Mallory Square. Even though we had a car, we didn't really need it and left it parked for most of our stay. The property was well kept with a small pool and good sized hot tub which was great at night to rejuvinate our legs from the walking. The breakfasts were plenty for what we needed and well presented. Our room was on the smaller size but it gave us everything we needed and even had a little refrigerator. I would highly recommend this place!

My husband and I stayed here for my birthday & it was a charming little place. We prefer smaller places as opposed to the usual large hotel/resort chain. This place was fantastic. The service & staff were amazing & friendly. The location was fabulous and the rate was great. The pool & hot tub were private & had great landscaping. It was very romantic & quiet. We absolutely loved this place.

My husband and I stayed at Heron House Court in mid-January, 2008. We liked the location because it was close to harbor restaurants. It was quiet and we were able to easily find parking on the street. Our room was recently painted. The bed linens and drapery were attractive, nice quality. The carpet was very dirty though, and needed to be replaced. The shower stall was ancient and needed updating. Surprisingly, though the water pressure and temp was just fine. The tired arm chair and boxy, TV cube also need replacement. The windows were painted shut and I so wanted to feel the Key West breezes. This was impossible and having to keep the window unit a/c on 24/7 made the room feel claustrophobic, stale. The overhead fan could only circulate the air from the a/c. We did sit on the 2nd floor front porch just off our room and enjoyed our morning coffee and finally the gentle breezes. Surrounding residences are lovely to look at.

Booked this B&B based on reviews. What we found did not reflect accurately what was "real". The place could be wonderful. Location was good because it was quiet and no roosters crowing at 4am. However, the whole place needs sprucing up and reflects just a lack of good housekeeping. The sofa and chair in our Jr. Suite should be at the curb! Both were stained and just plain nasty. The blinds and windows desperately need washing. The outside decks and walls need powerwashing. On 2 mornings, my shower ended up being cold! For the rates charged by this inn, I expected Marriott quality especially with regard to cleanliness especially for $300/night!

This place is partnered with Heron House which has a AAA rating of 4 stars. However, I think Heron House Court is riding their coattails because it is not rated but leads you to believe it is. I was deceived by that. Again,,,,,,,,,,buyer beware!!!!!
