My finance and I picked this hotel from reading about it online. We weren't sure exactly what we were going to get, but it was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The hotel staff were helpful and so nice. They recommended several places for us to see and eat at. They sent us to some of the most fabulous places that we wouldn't have found on our own.
The Gardens hotel is a really an oasis and they have done a fantastic job creating an enviroment that is truly relaxing. In addition, each Sunday evening they have Jazz in the gardens which was such a delightful surprise. The artists were amazing and we were able to mingle with several of the other guests.
We stayed in a room close to the pool and it was very large with a jaccuzi tub. The room was perfect and a compliment to the rest of the hotel and gardens.
This hotel was an amazing place to stay and I would recommend anyone else to stay there! Its a place you will fall in love with.

“Respite in Old Key West”

On a recent long weekend in Key West we stayed at the Gardens Hotel. The hotel is located on Angela Street in Old Key West just one block from Duval Street. Although Duval is a busy street, inside the walls of the lush grounds of the Gardens Inn is a world away. Quite and relaxing, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this small boutique hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was good but not great.

A great local restaurant is Pices and it is a short walk from the Gardens Inn. Their signature dish is the Tango Mango and it is superb. Surprisingly, we found Key West to be a bit of a wine desert, so if you are a wine aficionado you may want to take or ship your wine. Most restaurants offer a corking service for a modest fee.

“The Only Place to Stay in Key West!”

Holly, Nikki and our Key West hosts

Awesome Property! Quiet with beautiful gardens, yet just one block off of Duval Street. Accomodations are spacious, beautiful and very clean. Staff is friendly and helpful (bartender went to store to stock specific beverage options for our group.) Great breakfast, the only place to stay in Key West.

We have just returned to the UK after a wonderful trip around Florida but the 3 night stay we had at The Gardens Hotel was a highlight of the holiday. We stayed at bigger hotels, smaller hotels & more expensive hotels on our travels, but none compared to The Gardens where the peace, tranquillity and attentiveness of the staff were utterly sublime.

Thank you to Nancy for so much help and telling us where to see tightrope walking cats - thank you to "Billy the Bar" for advising us on some wonderful places to eat and shop, - and thank you to K8 for making us so welcome, and for running such a marvelous Hotel.

The rooms were excellent, the food was good, but the overall feeling of being amongst friends in the most wonderful relaxed atmosphere was the best we had on our trip. We hope that we will be able to return one day and I am sure it will be like going back to stay with old friends.

Loved the Gardens Hotel, from arriving to leaving we were made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble, the hotel is an oasis of calm in the the midst of Key West and everything about this hotel was just perfect for us, we would certainly recommend a visit & hope to return ourselves someday soon.
