We purchased a low-season two-bedroom at Hyatt Windward Pointe a year
ago with the express purpose of exchanging it for a one-bedroom high-season spot at Sunset Harbor. Knowing that it wasn't guaranteed, we were very pleased that the exchange went off without a hitch, and look forward to an annual visit here in April. They're undertaking a major room renovation this spring, so all rooms will look much more spiffy soon. (Fabrics, etc becoming a little threadbare.) Because we stayed an extra night beyond the Sunday-Sunday norm, we were moved from our first floor harbor-front room (511) to a third floor back-corner-of-the-property room (131) for our last night. Much preferred the upper level room, and will be sure to request it next time. The small grounds are beautiful, and very well maintained. Very pleased with the little things like plenty of towels, nice personal products,
icemaker, and the supply of sugar packets. Also, very important to me, an extremely quiet, efficient air conditioning system. Very nice to relax for a week +, with a fridge full of supplies (breakfasts and drinks) and coin laundry on site.
Disappointments were minor: Queen bed instead of king in one-bedroom units, transportation not provided to/from airport (even though Hyatt
has tons of vans running potential buyers around), and while the units are spacious, the kitchen area is very squeezed (but, who ends up doing much cooking, anyway?!)
