“Wish we could have stayed longer!”

The Almond Tree is in a fantastic location, just round the corner from Duval Street, and a 10 minute walk down Duval Street to Mallory Square.

The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The whole atmosphere is very chilled out. There is a great little pool and hot tub, and very pretty bijou grounds – we had a mini-waterfall and a pond with tropical fish right outside our room!

The staff are very friendly and helpful and provide very personalised, caring service. They provide a great continental breakfast free of charge, and there are free drinks and nibbles at happy hour each night. There is a car park (costs a very reasonable $7 per day). It is good value for money.

I just wish we had been able to stay longer! If we go back to Key West, we would definitely stay here again.

This place was great. Initially, I didn't want to stay here because it didn't seem as nice as some other places based on the pictures. Boy, was I wrong. This place was a wonderful respite from busy Duval, but smack in the middle of everything. It was great. Wonderful staff, happy hour, and breakfast. I would totally stay here again. It really was lovely and the parking was also great for only 7 bucks extra a day. No hidden fees, we just really loved this place. Last time we went to key west we stayed at little palm island for 1000 buck a night. This time, we wanted someplace nearly as nice, but without the cost. We found it -- this place was really great and I don't say that lightly.

“Beautiful, relaxing environment”

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at the Almond Tree Inn last week. It's ideally located, near the Hemingway House and a short walk down to the must-see tourist-laden Duval Street and Mallory Square sunset shows. The hotel has a large pool and hot tub, lush landscaping, and competent caring employees. They really made us feel at home, and we felt they really wanted to share the best that Key West could offer by recommending restaurants and tours that were ideally suited to the individual. Our upstairs suite was beautifully decorated, extremely clean and very quiet. And the bed seemed very cushy (maybe more so because of a bad Miami experience). You pay to park the car in the lot, but I think that's the norm in crowded Key West.
We liked everything about the hotel, I'd recommend it highly to any friend. And having the owner's dog in the office during the day gave me my dog fix during our visit!

“We Loved It”

Staff was courteous and helpful. Happy hour should have a person behind the counter at all times; however, not many places have a happy hour such as this one so beggars can't be choosers.

Lovely landscape with the fish ponds and tropical plants surrounding gave it a Caribbean feel.

The rooms were spacious and luxurious with more than enough pillows. Great experience. Would definintely stay here again.

My partner and I were booked in for 3 nights but ended up staying 5 because we loved it so much. Extrememly well taken care of and really friendly staff. The courtyard is a lovely oasis with pool with a waterfall in it, hot tub and gorgeous, lush greenery everywhere.....little lights wrapped around the palm trees gave it a great glow at night. I can't say enough good things about our beautiful room, wow, the bed was so comfy and the linens were heavenly.....we never wanted to get up! Each room has a large private patio too. The resort is very conducive to meeting people because of the courtyard and the breakfast and happy hour. We met some great couples there. The place is quiet and relaxing so if you're looking to just chill out, stay there. Everyone we met here said they loved it and some had stayed there several times before. Even though it's very close to all the Duval hubbub we never heard a thing and i'm a light sleeper. So we give this guest house a 10 and we will certainly be back next year.
