I stayed at this hotel at the end of May with three other friends, and we thought it was a perfect place to stay. It was great because it was right across the street from the beach and walking distance to all the bars and restaurants. Our room was so much nicer than we expected and the bathroom was all tile. The hotel's pool was a great atmosphere with a tiki bar with reasonable price drinks. I would definitely recommend this hotel to stay at in Key West!

Stayed at the Southernmost from May 17th - May 22nd. This is not a 5 star resort type hotet, but is much nicer than some of the other motel/hotel properties in town. Rooms are all very nice with excellent amenities. We stayed in a room with 2 double beds. For 2 people it was ok, but I could see it being crowded with 4 people. The bathroom was huge though and made up for any other shortcomings. The AC was powerful and welcomed us back from many long, hot walks down Duval Street.

This hotel has 2 swimming pools on the property and then you are also allowed to use the pool and beach across the street at the Southernmost at the Beach. Of course I guess anyone could use those since there is nobody around to actually check to see if you're a registered guest. The main pool at the Hotel has a nice Tiki Bar right there as well. Drinks there can be a little expensive and the pool area gets quite crowded. The pool across the street is a lot quieter and you can bring your own drinks!! (again, nobody really around to check on anything).

This hotel is at the southern, quiet end of Duval Street, so it is a long walk to get to the other end where most of the action is. I personally don't have a problem with that, but if you're someone who has difficulty walking, or just doesn't like to, then you might want to rent a car, scooter, or electric car. There are some businesses located in the area though. Just up Duval is a Rum Bar (forget the name) and also La Te Da (if that's your thing). Around the corner is a nice Cuban convenience store that serves very good Cuban sandwiches for both breakfast and lunch. You're also a short walk from a CVS and also another deli and the Bottlecap Lounge.

I love this hotel and will continue to stay here everytime I go to Key West until I get bored of it. I'm not really a B&B/Guesthouse type of person so this place is perfect. And I don't have the money to drop 400 bucks a night at Ocean Key.

Great location, friendly staff, nice pools, fun tiki bar, comfortable beds....only problem was that our bathroom was small and it made it difficult for 2 of us to be in there at the same time.

Would certainly stay here again :)

This is a really nice hotel / motel complex located at the southern end of Duval Street. It takes a good 20 minutes leisurely stroll to get to Mallory Square, but it's not like you need to rush anywhere if you're on holiday!

The enire complex (two hotels & two high-end bed and breakfasts) has three pools and a jacuzzi, as well as laundry facilities. Rooms are very pleasantly furnished and bathrooms have quality fittings. Most (if not all) rooms have either a balcony or small ouside decking area.

My 'plus' would be the quality of the rooms, my 'minus' would be the price (not QUITE sure it's worth the extra when compared to other hotels).

I would however recommend the Southernmost Hotel to anyone after quality accommodation when visiting Key West.
