“A very great stay at the Eden House!”

Eden House

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Eden House from 5 June to 7 June. It was the most expensive place we stayed (US$120+/nite) throughout our whole trip but it was really worth the price! =) The place was very beautiful and the people who operate the place has a sense of humour as we can seen from all the cute little signboards posted around the place.

We got a small room on the second level and the room was beautifully decorated. We had a microwave, fridge, plasma TV and a very nice bathroom. There is also limited free parking in thier garage. Even though they don't serve breakfast, they have coffee and tea and hot water in the lobby and the staff on night duty was really wonderful as he got me really hot water to make my hot chocolate at night. They also have a beautiful lobby where we can sit on comfy seats to watch TV or just play with the cat called "Lobby". They provide all kinds of sun block, sun tanning lotion or after sun lotion which we can use in the lobby. Apart from that, they also have a nice little library with quite a large genre of books.

The swimming pool is very fun as Eden House provides floats, noodles for use in the pool. They also have a nice jacuzzi next to the pool. The pool and jacuzzi never close so anyone can go for a midnight dip as long as they don't make a lot of noise.

The location of Eden House is also very near the waterfront and the shopping streets so we didn't have to drive there. Walking there is easier (15 minutes walk) as it was quite difficult to find parking near the shopping area and the waterfront.

Overall, it was a very wonderful and enjoyable stay at the Eden House and it made our Key West trip very memorable!

“Lovely Gem”

Eden House

4 of 5 stars
South Florida

This is a lovely gem. Close enough to everything to walk, but far enough to be a quiet getaway. Our "deluxe" room was not large but comfortable and nicely situated near the pool. If you will be in the room alot, spring for a large deluxe. We had planned to but one was not available all the nights we were there as a wedding party had booked almost all of the rooms, and we were not in the room much anyway.

The parking leaves a bit to be desired as they don't have enough spaces for the number of rooms but that they have any at all in this tightly packed historic area is an advantage. We did find street parking without a problem. Once there you don't really need a car anyway, you can walk or rent one of their well maintained bikes. We did both.

Getting a poolside chair was a bit of a challenge as the inn was full and the guests all hanging out there, but we didn't spend much time at the pool anyway. Hammocks and porch swings held my attention, and I spent a fair amount of the time "swinging away" in the porch swing library.

The staff was helpful and friendly and went out of their way to be sure we enjoyed our short stay. Every time we went to the desk someone asked if we were having fun and if they could help with anything.

The food at the Azur restaurant next door was wonderful as well, making it an easy dinner location for those who are tired from their trip to the inn, as we were. I'd stay again.

“Great stay-Key West flavor all the way”

First visit to Key West, Eden House was the perfect place to stay. Reflected the local flavor, not too pretentious, very laid back. Staff were very friendly, room was comfortable, pool and jacuzzi an ideal way to end a day of walking/biking around town. Hotel is located close enough to everything to walk but far enough away so we didn't hear any night crowd noise. They have nice bikes to rent pretty cheap, great way to get around town. Azur Resaurant next door had some of the best food (bfast and dinner) we ate while there, they gave us an Eden House courtesy discount which a pleasant unexpected surprise.

The hotel is really beautifull, with a very nice Garden were one can realy come to rest and relax in one of the hammock or swings that are availible in the Garden.

“Loved the Eden House”

went to the Eden House for the first time for a 40th birthady celebration. What a great time and can't wait to return to the serene atmosphere. Was welcomed with a smile and tour then to the room where we were given a complimentry bottle of champaine and glasses. I can not say enough about all the staff members ,each one always had a smile and greeted you like you were family. Each day we started at the pool and always met wonderful guest along with music that soothed your soul. Me and my husband exteded our stay by another day and were so sad to leave. If you get a chance any staff will show you around to all the different types of rooms which all were clean and beautiful. We choose a large delux and it was such a pleasant surprise not stuffy like chain hotels are, and the size of the room was perfect. If you get a chance to chat with the owner, he also makes you feel at home and his version of the history of the Eden house definatly makes you envious and also very lucky to have stayed at his creation and interpretation of being in paradise. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a piece of mind, and wants to have a great time
