I booked Nassau House by telephone after reading reviews and it was a very happy experience indeed. We were travelling with our 10year old grandaughter and had a lovely room on the ground floor with two double beds. I loved the old world charm of the house, typical of the white picket fence and front porch swing image that one tends to have in one's mind when you come from the UK.
Park up the car for free and forget about it for your stay.
Nassau House is near enough to Duval Street to walk to all the attractions, ie Mallory Square etc, but also set back enough to get away from all the mad merry-go-round of the Key West scene. You can wander the side streets and soak up the quaint houses and quirky front yards that seem to abound in Key West.
We ate at Duffy's Steak and Lobster House two nights running. It was reasonable for Key West ( everything is a bit pricey down there) and the food was nice. There I discovered that a New York Strip is the equivalent of a Sirloin Steak in the UK.
I have to say that reading some reviews, I have come to the conclusion that some people expect Hotel facilities at Bed and Breakfast prices!!
We loved the breakfast at Nassau House, the cake was delicious and the coffee good. The happy hour was just that, a very happy relaxed time indeed and it was nice to get a chat with different people.
Yes I would reccomend this place to anyone, and tho I doubt I would go to Key West again, it was great to walk thru it and Nassau House is now part of our happy travelling memories.
