“Great Property”

Comfort Inn

Mar 20, 2008

Great stay. Nice pool, although a bit warm!! Great breakfast in morning. A little away from beach, main part of town but easy 5 minute drive. Room was clean and decent.

“Not the best lodging option in Key West”

Comfort Inn

Like most Comfort Inns I've stayed at, my experience at the Key West location was average. On the upside, the room was clean and spacious, and the continental breakfast was above average. On the downside, the Internet did not work (and the front desk person did not speak good enough English to help), there was no elevator for second floor rooms, and the location is poor.

If I were to stay in Key West again, I would pay more to stay closer to the heart of the city and also to get better quality. The Comfort Inn was no more memorable than numerous other chain hotels, but it was a decent room for a decent price. I would give it 2 1/2 stars if half stars were an option. I would probably not stay here again.

“Great for the Price”

We stayed at the Comfort Inn for a long weekend. We were pleased with the accommodations. It is not a luxury hotel by any means, but it was clean and comfortable. The pool is beautiful, and the breakfast was above average for a free continental breakfast. Location was fine. We had a rental car, and had no difficulty getting anywhere on the island.

I would definitely stay here again, especially for the price - we paid at least $80 less than most of the other choices, and were definitely satisfied.

We stayed at comfort inn key west on points as well. I do not understand what previous people are complaining about. The hotel was very clean and the staff were more than helpfull. The room was pool view 1st floor. It was large clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were just fine. The free breakfast was also quite enjoyable. The hotel is old but non stop staff washing and cleaning everywhere more than made up for the age. We would get up early each day and have breakfast drive to old key west park and walk and shop and stop for drinks. Me turning 50 years old even went parasailing which we booked through the concierge at the hotel,. They have a computer in the lobby and internet as well no charge You can also go next door to the radisson hotel to use their pool if you like. We mainly used our pool at the comfort inn. Everything was great - You can not beat key west and this hotel even if we were paying we would stay. Some people just too picky i guess. They also have chickens and roosters walking around this just adds to the charm of the hotel and location. I hope you enjoy your trip

“OK, But More Like An Econolodge”

Comfort Inn

I used my frequent stay points with Choice Hotels so I didn't pay any cash for the room. This is the only Choice Hotel property at Key West, and it was OK, but if I was paying I'd stay elsewhere. The beds and pillows weren't very comfortable and the property is dated. Location is OK, close to the beaches. Value for the points paid was terrible, 20,000 points per night. I've stayed ocean front in a very nice suite in Virginia Beach for that amount, but they have no competition in KW for Choice point stays. Staff was nice and there was a concierge in the lobby which was convenient for booking a tour. Wireless internet was at times slow, and signal varied. Next trip to Key West I'll probably stay elsewhere though.
