Key Lime Inn was relaxing, perfect for a getaway. It was clsoe enough to the action (few blocks to Duval), but not loud. The pool is the best part, large, plenty of room and shaded under a canopy of palms. I could have stayed there all day.

The rooms were smaller but similar to any beach hotel. Nice flat screen TV, toiletries were above average. They supplied beach towels. A/C worked well and was loud enough to drown out most of the crowing. Overall the Key Lime was quiet, roosters aside. They have a nice courtyard with swing. And there is free parking.

The continental breakfast was pleasant, that is all I need. Coffee may have been strong for vacation but that is OK. PLeny of places to walk to, and a CVS across the street for snacks.

The roosters & chickens..very entertaining to me. I do not recall that many roosters in KW before but they were hysterical. They crowed all day long, all night long and strutted around the pool. They appeared at my feet one AM. It really gave the inn a flavor. We named them and thought they were great.

We stayed at the Key Lime in the middle ot April and it is a great place to stay. Close to the action and still quiet. We meet very nice people who had been staying at Key Lime Inn for several years. The roosters crow day and night - rather funny, I thought. The breakfast is toast, yogurt, coffee and juice, but it was nice not to have to go out for every meal. Rooms are not big, but how much time to do spend in them? Would highly recommend staying here.

I love Key West. I have stayed at about 15 different guesthouses as well and B&B’s. This time around I decided to stay at the Key Lime Inn to my surprise it was the worst experience ever. The property was beautiful to say the least until 5:30 AM when about 8 roosters decided to crow their way in to my sleep until 11:30 that I checked out. Since the property is open the local rooters could walk in as they please. Even though I love animals I must say that this was a big problem. No other place that I have staid in has ever had this issue. To be honest with you I walked over to Dennis that morning and asked for country chicken fried steak. I will never stay in this location no matter how wonderful the actual property was. I believe part of a vacation is sleeping in and relaxing.

This place is exactly what we go to Key West for. It's very charming and near enough to everything. The rooms are nothing special, but extremely clean! The staff is great, and they have free continental breakfast in this wonderful little courtyard area outside. It's just a great little place to stay!
