The pros: great location, pretty decor, comfortable bed, nice linens, decent breakfast (included). And the roosters and chickens on the property added a fun "Key West touch" to the stay (but see the cons). On-site parking is free, but not guaranteed.
The cons: a noisy, outdated air conditioner kept us awake at night. There was no alternative, as our "deluxe" room lacked a window, so we couldn't let in the breeze. Also, if you shut off the loud A/C, you're sure to hear the roosters crowing at 3 a.m. (so much for the "pro" above). We had double patio doors out to our private patio area, but there was no screen, so we couldn't leave the doors open all night (there are little critters, including the occasional scorpion, in Key West, folks). Also, only one-third of the patio was paved; the rest was full of dead leaves and stones (not very pretty). The bathroom fan was very noisy, and there was limited space for toiletries. Some of the staff were wonderful, a couple seemed very uncaring and distracted.
Overall, I'd say it's a pretty enough place to stay, but the cons don't justify the rate of almost $300 per night. To be fair, Key West is not inexpensive, but I would look elsewhere if I ever return to Key West.
