We just returned (sadly) from our stay at the Sunrise Resort Suites.
Everything was wonderful. The suite/condos are FABULOUS with lots of room, great staff. The pool is beautiful as is the hot tub. It's off the beaten path, but that's okay by us. We don't want to stay right on Duval. We just like to visit Duval.

I couldn't recommend this place more...great people, great place, great weather. We did not want to leave!

All rooms in this Condominium complex are 2 bedroom units. The bedrooms each have a full bathroom and are regular in size. The master bedroom has a huge walk-in closet with safe. The living room has a convertable bed, t.v., stereo and a nice size balcony. The kitchenette comes with a dishwasher, refrig, stove and toaster and has 4 bar stools to eat from.

The pool is nice but it was dead when I was there with my family. I very much prefer the pool at DoubleTree Grand Key Resort. It was really nice. Why did I go to DoubleTree. Somebody threw beer bottles from their balcony and glass went all over the place. Management allowed us to use the pool at Grand Key Resort.

The house cleaning crew cleaned very fast. The elevators and hallway areas did not have AIR CONDITIONING (BAD, BAD, BAD). My unit came with a carport which was nice.

Overall this place is nice and clean but to far from the action and it's not a resort style which the kids would've preferred (The Grand Key Resort next door)

We had to do a lot of begging to get my mother to come to Key West for my sister's wedding. Her health is not good, it's hard for her to travel, and noise and crowds upset her. I had to find just the right place or she would never leave home again. The Sunrise Suites was perfect! Less than 5 minutes away from the airport made it easy for us to pick her up. Private, covered carport directly under our condo so there was no searching for a space and lugging baggage across a crowded parking lot, and no getting wet from the sudden rain showers which frequent the area. The accomodations could not have been better. Brand new, spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, with an excellent floor plan featuring a full bath and entertainment center for each bedroom on either side, with the common areas in the middle, (living room and kitchen complete with dishes and a dishwasher!) After a hectic day of wedding activities, we relaxed on our private, spacious balcony, and listened to the crickets on the quiet side of the island, instead of the all night parties of Duvall Street. Better yet, our rate was less than half the price paid by our other wedding guests who stayed at the more expensive (not as nice) resorts on the 'noisy' side of the island! Best of all, it's six months later and my mom still raves about her stay at the Sunrise Suites!
