“Memorial day weekend”

Ramada Limited - Key Largo

Hotel room was clean and bed comfy. We chose this as the dive shop was onsite. No internet but can use the Holiday Inn just across the way. Standard chain hotel room. We had a corner room which had a wrap around balcony. Hotel is right on the water harbor front for all the boats to park. Unfortunately the next door guests had a child that HOWLED the entire day and night, I'm not exaggerating. I had to look over the balcony to understand what the heck was going on. Good thing I bring ear plugs. Considered moving rooms but figured with the holiday weekend it wouldnt be possible so I didnt ask.

“great value”

Ramada Limited - Key Largo

we stayed here for the second year in a row. The hotel is surprisingly nice for the inexpensive price. There is a complimentary breakfast every day and 4 restaurants within walking distance. The pool is a little small but very private and if you want festivities you are allowed to use the holiday inn pool which has a tikibar and more people and live music. The views are supernice if you take the one overlooking the marina. The best part is the activities. There are so many things right on property....fishing, diving, snorkeling, casino boats, and a glass bottom boat. We went on the glass bottom boat one day and snorkeling on the reefroamer catamaran actually for 3 different trips. I highly recommend snorkeling while in key largo the reefs are so beautiful and being a beginner the staff on the reefroamer really were informative and made me feel safe and the boat was surprisingly stable. The glass bottome boat was okay but not for the weak stomache i spent most of the time concentrating on trying not to be ill than looking at the fish. The nightlife has a lot to offer as well. There are three bars right on premisis with everything from a dj to tiki band although after all day on the water we were never much for the nightlife.

“Harbourside location.”

Ramada Limited - Key Largo

Jun 9, 2007

Great harbourside location with dive and fishing opportunities on your doorstep but at the cost of no beech. My spacious 3rd floor immaculately decorated room had a balcony with a fine view overlooking the boat filled harbour and the smallish attractive hotel pool and patio area. Other rooms face Route 1 although set back 50yds or so. Fridge, free Wi-Fi and slightly noisy air con all worked well. Furnishings including large sofa were all new, bed was large and very comfy and the linen good. Bathroom was average with external second sink. No hotel restaurant or bar but 3 are located within 5 minute walk around the harbour. Ample parking. I drove straight past the hotel so look out on the left side (driving southbound) and also for the more imposing Holiday Inn sign. Reception staff were excellent and was even given a choice of floor. I needed to print something from my PC and was directed next door to the Holiday Inn where the equally helpful staff assisted my needs FOC. My 1 night stay was just too short.

“Nice hotel - poor value for money though”

Ramada Limited - Key Largo

3 of 5 stars

On a stopover heading down the keys and a quick glance at tripadvisor led us to the Ramada.

The setting is nice and we did pay the upgrade for the marina view which again was extremely pleasant. We were a little suprised to pay the full rate though as the hotel was not full and we didn't even have one of the larger balconies. The rooms seem to alternate large, small in this regard.

The room had two wash basins, adequate bathroom and nice comfortable beds so overall very good. Just not really quite worth the 211 bucks they charged us with all the taxes. Can't put my finger on it but this was Key Largo, not Key West and overall the standard of other properties we looked at was quite poor by comparison so maybe that is the going rate.

The lady on reception was polite but again not the friendliest or most helpful. When we questioned the rate it was a take or leave it kind of deal.

Pool was nice so again, nothing really to complain about except no safe in the room and the price. One other slightly sour note was that even though there were some 20 or so tables free in Coconuts restaurant, if we were only having a drink we were told to crowd round the bar which had less of a view. We opted to go elsewhere.

If you're in Key Largo then maybe its the best place. I would drive on if you have no need to stay there.

“Pleasantly surprised and pleased with the Ramada Inn, Key Largo”

Ramada Limited - Key Largo

We stayed at the Ramada Inn for 3 nights. We went to Key Largo to go scuba diving and found out that the Ramada has a deal with Rainbow Reef diving company, which made our stay much cheaper. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice the Ramada was and found out it had been recently renovated. We had a nice view of the marina, overlooking the pool. The pool was pretty small, but Ramada Inn guests are allowed to use the Holiday Inn pool, which has a tiki bar and the pools are much bigger (one has a waterfall). The Holiday Inn is a two minute walk across the parking lot. A continental breakfast was included (the usual fruit, bagels, cereal, muffins, etc.) We stayed in a king room, marina view, room 286. The only two negatives: the balcony light comes on automatically and cannot be turned off—an ugly fluorescent light; in addition the air conditioner is LOUD. Other than that, we had no complaints.
