My husband and I (and friends) have been coming here for at least 10 years! We just love this place. The absolute best "grouper sandwiches" in southwest florida! They also have the absolute best "tarter sauce", and I mean the best! I was really shocked to read some of the bad reviews. Honestly, I have never had a bad meal there! We love to sit on the outdoor patio and watch the boats come in and out. (we always go for lunch) My friend who does not eat fish loves their cheeseburgers. The have great coleslaw too, very creamy and fresh! The waitstaff always seem pleasant and kind. If you are in this area you should go to this place, a little hard to find, but worth it. Good prices for that area too!

This place was absolutely awful. Horrible food and service. Perhaps it has changed hands. The poor reviews are current within the past few months.

I see the reviews about this place I am shocked at how good they are.We ate at the fish house Aug 17th 2007 because of the great reviews.Here is my take on it and only the TRUTH.First the salad that came with the dinner was brown the tomato had been sitting for a day or better we ordered clams and pasta for 19.00ea it came with plastic forks paper towels and was very overcooked.it was not a 50 dollar dinner with a drink ea.I just want to point this out if you are thinking of going here oh and that was the total bill for the food no tip was even thought of giving.Its a place that is a little hard to find being behind a boat marina which is a good thing.I am not picky and like almost all places i eat at this was just not one of them

The food was pretty good, but the atmosphere was lacking and service was mediocre. To be fair, we ate at the Fish house on a very rainy night and it was very dead. But, our server seemed a little dead too! I had a seafood marinara with shrimp and scallops. The shrimp and scallops were a little overcooked....not what I expect in Florida. My hubby had the fried lobster bites and he raved about those. I would recommend the Fish House and I would eat there again. Good food, reasonably priced.
