I really had a nice room I was on the 5th floor. We had a oceanview room. The only thing that I would change would be the second bedroom. It had a divider instead of a door but was not hanging off or any thing just did not have a door. But the room was nice. The beds were comfortable felt like a foam material on them had no springs in your back. Which made it nice. My two children really enjoyed the stay with the large hot pool as they call it. Golf they did not get a chance to play that is why we are going back in July.

i stayed at the hawaiian inn for ten days, and at first i was a little nervous after reading some of these other reviews. but i already booked before i read reviews. decided to check this out first hand and if i was'nt happy i would simply check out and find a different hotel for my wife and i.
i don't know where all this negetive feedback came from, but my wife and i loved this place! great ocean front room on the second floor. we did the hawaiian show and it was also a great show, they had a movie on the pool deck on saturday nite, this was unexpected but it was on a huge screen and everyone could sit on their belconys and enjoy the show.
there was a tike bar poolside which made any type drink you could imagine. the indoor pool was very nice, we spent alot of evenings enjoying this pool not to mention the large outdoor pool that was huge and very well maintained.
we also did the mini golf at the hawaiian on a daily bases at no extra charge.
my wife and i loved the property so much, we booked for ten more days next year.

This was the worst place i have been in a long time. The ceiling in the lobby was half off. The musty moldy spell in the rooms was horrible. The carpets turned our feet black. The staff must be used to the complaints, nothing fazed them in the least.
I will tell everyone not to go to this place.

We stayed at the Hawaiian Inn for Speedweeks and it was our 1st time staying in Daytona Beach.

We booked our condo (room number 238) direct through its owner. The condo had recently undergone a renovation so was clean, tidy and everything in working order. (Our friends stayed at the same time as us in a different condo and its was the exact opposite of ours!!!)

The Hawaiian Inn itself was something of a disappointment, the restuarant, poolside bar, lula show were all closed for the entire duration of our stay (10 nights) the shop i saw open once!!, The indoor pool is tiny but very warm and can only have a maximum of 9 people in it at once, the outdoor pool looked dirty!!!
Towards the end of our stay they began having free coffee in the lobby and the mini golf opened up.

During our stay workmen had began to paint all exterior doors and walkways and looked to be renovating the lobby so i can see that once all these have been done it will be a much nicer place to stay. (also heard that a new management team had taken over)

Location was brilliant near to a 7eleven, Winn Dixie and Publix both just up the road as is 2 new crazy golf places. Golf Buggies and Quad bikes for rent on the beach right in front of hotel steps.

But as with anything you get what you pay for, we paid (compared to most hotels in Speedweeks) a bargain price, next year we will definately pay a bit moreand stay somewhere else.
