We had a oceanview kitchenette with 2 queens.

Here are the positives:

* Large room with large bathroom and plenty of counterspace
* Great view of the beach
* Easy beach access
* Kitchenette stocked with dishes, toaster and coffeemaker
* Friendly, accomodating front desk staff

Here are the negatives:

* Beds had only the top bedspread and sheet. No light blanket to use. It was either sleep with only the sheet or use the icky bedspread that rarely gets washed. I have never seen this in any hotel I have ever stayed. Yuck!

* Warning: I tested the pool with pool test strips I got at my local pool supply company. Not a trace of chlorine showed up. A pool may look well cared for but in reality, unless you test the water, there is no way of knowing. Yuck!

* Really dirty carpets.

* Dead bugs on the floor. (These probably came from outside when the sliding door was open but vacuuming well would have taken care of the problem).

* Very poor sound insulation. I could hear the baby crying in the room across the hall and to the left. I could also hear the people going in and out of their rooms at all hours of the night. If you or your children are light sleepers than this may not be the hotel for you.

I would not stay at this hotel again. There were too many cleanliness issues for me to feel comfortable.

We booked 6 rooms. Could not use the pool. Too cold. Hot tub was nasty. All the kids were in it. We wanted to have a cookout but were denied. Yet next day someone else had one by the pool. We used the pool and grill next door at the Magic Carpet with their blessings. We have been to Emerald Shores before many times. But we were assured the pool was heated and yet no one was in it. We will not go back.

We were just here June 7th & 8th. For the price, it was above my expectation. I found the Emerald Suites on Trip Advisor.com and called them direct to make the reservation. The staff when booking and during our stay were very friendly and cheerful. The manager was on site, very friendly and kept everything in order.

Our rooms (we had two rooms with a connecting door) were nice sized and a great view of the beach and ocean. Friday night we saw the Shuttle launch....which was a fantastic view and event to witness.
The beach was awesome. The pool & deck was really nice.

We had a "kitchenette" in one of the rooms that was very nice for what we needed. If you plan on using it, I would bring some dish soap
from home and re-wash the dishes before using. There were 4 cups, plates, and glasses.

The rooms were roomy...had queen beds. The only draw back of the fooms were the bathrooms weren't super clean....around the edges of the floor.

We all agreed, we would come back to the Emerald in a heart beat. I have stayed in a Holiday Inn that wasn't as nice as this.

We stayed 4/28 - 5/5. We had an oceanfront efficiency room. All the hotel staff were very friendly. Room was cleaned daily and always restocked with fresh towels, soaps and shampoos. The pool was nice, but it was't heated. The hot tub was wonderful after a day at the theme parks. Parking lot was easy to get in and out of. The pictures on their website are still pretty accurate. Couldn't ask for better for the price.
