The Beachside Motel (next door and part of Beachside Plaza) is a nice little place to stay. Our room had a kitchenette including refridgerator, microwave, and toaster, also had ironing board and room safe. Room was nice, but a little dated. Bathroom was nice and clean. Plenty of storage space, including closet. Pool and outside area was always nice and clean. Staff was always friendly, room was serviced every day around the same time.Only minor negatives were they didn't have our reservation at check in(don't know if it was Hotel problem or Orbitz problem), ice machine out of order(ice available next door at Plaza), and wireless internet access was only available next door at Plaza lobby or pool area(not that big a deal). If we go back to Daytona Beach again, we will probably stay here again.

The hallways were dark and musty smelling. They left a can of awful smelling trash right by the elevator on our floor. All of the pillows on our beds were hard as bricks. There was black hair that floated out of the drain in the shower. The continental breakfast was a joke! It was supposed to go from 7-10 am but by 8:30 every morning, all of the food was gone... and they would not make any effort to put more out. All they had were cold, frozen biscuits and little cups of cereal. The juices were really watered down. My parents were in the room next to us and they called the front desk 3 times about their foul-smelling refrigerator. Nobody ever came.

Also, they charge their guests $5.00/day to park. We do not plan to stay here again!

I found this awesome hotel for $125 per night on hotels.com. The hotel was right on the beach. The room was huge with 2 queen beds, plaza flat screen TV, granite counter top with sink and cabinets above and below the counter top. There was also a small refrigerator under the counter top. Glass plates, coffee mugs, glasses and a coffee maker as well as utensils were also included. Closet space gave plenty of room where there is a safe in there that you can program your own security code. We had an ocean front room and the view was gorgeous. The pool was huge and it overlooked the ocean. There was a pool side bar with small kitchen. You could get alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, including margaritas and pina colada's. The food was very good. It included huge hamburgers and french fries, turkey wraps, hot dogs, etc. and very reasonable. Lunch was about $8.00 per person, not including a drink. Pool side towels are provided. Once you walk through the pool area, you just walk down some stairs and you are on the beach. Not too far of a walk until you reach the ocean. I can't say enough good about this hotel. It also had a nice spa but we did not take advantage of it. Oh, parking is about $7 per day, which I did not particularly like.

Called on Memorial Day for a room that same night. Hotel was very accommodating. Clean room with an ocean front balcony. Large refrigerator with a freezer (for ice) was appreciated. Standard bathroom. Very relaxing to sit out on the balcony during the day or night watching the people or staring at the water. Complimentary continental breakfast until 9:30am. Easy parking and within walking distance of convenience and package stores. Would recommend.
