The hotel is conveniently located, very clean, helpful front desk, good parking service and good breakfast.

When we read 'Art Déco Hotel' though, we expected a little more in terms of style and decor.

It has been renovated but with little money and it shows: bathroom was really small, broken closet door, frayed corridor carpeting.


Although we loved the external piping, the faucets and the original peepohole, so much 'It Happened One Night' style, the overall sensation is that of a run-down hotel fighting really hard not to show its age.

This said, it offers a good quality/price ratio.

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary with a weekend at the Georgian Hotel and had an amazing time. The staff was friendly and helpful. After learning that it was our anniversary, the manager on duty sent us a congratulatory note and a voucher for complimentary room service breakfast (You have to try the french toast soufflé!).

We also took full advantage of the location. Simply sitting on the veranda or in our room enjoying the ocean view provided a weekend highlight. It is also under a 5 minute walk from the hotel to the Santa Monica Pier, the beach, and Third Street Promenade, and Main Street (a great location for going out at night) is about 1.25 miles away (a long walk or a short drive or cab ride).

We would definitely stay here again.

Location, location, location along with fabulously hospitalble staff &
breakfast on the veranda made for a memorable stay with our niece visiting from NY. Denise at the front desk secured dinner reservations @ I Cucina and the Pier provided the fun zone.

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in!
Although the price is a bit high, that seems to be the case for most Santa Monica hotels. The Georgian is in a perfect location, directly across from the beach and a 5 minute walk to both the pier and the 3rd st Promenade. Our room was beautifully decorated in the art deco style and the bathroom was spacious and very clean. The staff was exceptionally friendly, from the front desk, to the valet, to the waitress at breakfast. The hotel has a great veranda where you can sit and have drinks in the evening or your breakfast in the morning. I definitely plan to stay at the Georgian again!
