The hotel room had a bed, recliner, desk with chair, small table with chair, and kitchen. The kitchen equipment was basic: refrigerator, small microwave, 2 burner stove, coffeemaker, toaster, plates/glasses/flatware, and a few kitchen utensils. You can cook simple meals here but not anything that needs complicated preparation. However with 2 grocery stores, a drugstore, and a Ross store (sells pots, pans etc. in the housewares section) if you wanted to cook something and didn't have the right utensil (like a spaghetti spoon) you could easily buy it. If you're on a budget it makes sense to stay here and make your own meals (even if frozen dinners in the microwave) instead of staying in other palms springs hotels and eating out every day.
I have stayed in a different brand of extended stay hotel and compared to that, I would say this is definitely the extended stay hotel for the budget traveler because of the lack of kitchen supplies and lack of oven, dishwasher and because housekeeping is weekly not daily and you have to bring your own on the shampoo, dishwashing detergent etc.
Overall the place was fine. The walls are a bit thin though. I would stay here again, though I think the thin walls and no dishwasher might get old if staying here for several weeks. As I mentioned, housekeeping service is weekly, with a mid week "refresh", whatever that is. The TV has a LOT of cable channels on it, more than I have seen at most hotels. The room I stayed in was called a studio. If you are a light sleeper, do not stay here, because in a studio, the refrigerator is nearby and you will hear it humming at night.
