We stayed 2 nights at the Horizon. The complex is very beautiful. Wonderful architecture, very well maintained garden and pool area (the lawn is so perfect it looks fake, immagine the amounts of fertilizer they use)
The check-in was simple and the staff friendly.
Our room, one of the bigger ones, had a nice glass wall overlooking the complex. The furniture a bit disappointing, all very "tasteful" but nothing exciting or worthwhile from a design point of view and rather sparsely furnished. The bed was very comfortable though.
The big bathroom with a large shower both indoor and outdoor was.. big and empty. It looked like somebody had stolen the furniture!
There was no place to place any toiletries, except for the floor. The 2 wash basins very small and very low.
One electrical socket was hanging half out of the wall, very safe in a bathroom! One of the lights would go on and off all the time, rather annoying at night.
We had a comfortable night. You can slightly hear the traffic on the nearby street, even if our room was the furthest away.
Breakfast can be had in the room, on your own patio or near the pool. The croissants were very good, the rest very average. They could have put more effort in finding some quality products and not the usual cheap stuff. And everything, from the Granola to the Orange Juice, was loaded with sugar. There is no option of a sugarless breakfast. Strangely enough there was no sugar or sweetener for the coffee.
Then the second night... we found out that our room can be linked to the room next door.. how did we find out? because of the noise. The first night that next door room was empty, the second hight we could hear everything that happened in that room, and I mean everything. The door between the 2 rooms is tiny and doesn't close well. Light and sound travels through it.
So that was rather annoying.
Would we stay here again? No. There are other hotels with the same kind of modernist design atmosphere, and better ones.
