“Really good hotel to use as a base”

Embassy Suites Hotel Napa Valley

Channel Islands
Apr 30, 2008

We stayed at this hotel for five days when visiting Napa for a wedding .
We found the rooms spotless and clean - the gardens were particularily well thought out and looked after.
The restaurant was extremely good as were the breakfasts , though as mentioned before , it is best to eat early.
A simple free tram/bus ride gets you into Napa town and is reasonably easy to use , once you find the stop about 80yds down the road ..
We had a great time at this place and would visit again.

“Fantastic Managers Reception”

Embassy Suites Hotel Napa Valley

Apr 29, 2008

We stayed at the Embassy suites on the 14th and 15th April. The hotel is easy to find and a short drive from the centre of Napa. The hotel is lovely, very big clean rooms, with a separate living area and small kitchen and a lovely bedroom. The hotel grounds are so well kept and have an indoor and outdoor pool. The breakfast in the morning was good and the FREE managers reception each night was a total bonus, free alcohol and a small selection of food (crisps etc). This hotel was is a good location to explore the Napa Valley and I would recommend this as a hotel to stay. The hotel also has a restaurant which we ate in one night and again this was good quality food.

“Great rooms”

Great rooms at this hotel. Newly renovated suites. Bottle of wine, coffee beans and grinder, full sized coffee pots, great wine glasses, flat screen TV. Pull out sofa bed in living room was actually comfortable. Bedroom was lovely with great bedding and comfortable mattress.

Very clean rooms and grounds.

Courtyard was pretty with outdoor pool (not open) and on one end a pond with swans. Lots of benches around for catching sun. Our room was in the quieter area with a fountain outside. Indoor pool and hot tub as well as the outdoor pool. Full breakfasts included in the rate. Pay for use wireless in rooms, but rates were less expensive than in San Francisco hotels.

Could have used a concierge as check- in staff couldn't help with a restaurant or even to order pizza. Staff were all polite and service oriented.

Location isn't great for views but easily accessed just off the freeway and close to a designer discount mall. Some rooms would be noisy just off the freeway. Suggest you avoid them.

Walkways to rooms are outside but covered and inside the courtyard. Could be a problem in a hard rain.

Overall would stay again.

Ate at a restaurant Celedon. Was excellent.

“Fantastic Experience!”

My partner and I had a great time at this hotel. Our room was large with a fridge, separate living room, and bedroom. We took full advantage of the happy hour. They had free drinks and a wide selection, as well as veggies and chips and salsa. They had a free breakfast, including omlets, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc. There was definitely a wide food selection. The hot tub was fantastic, as was the pool! The place was quiet and clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We never got a chance to check out the restaurant inside. Admittedly, the decor outside of the rooms was a bit cheesy (although the lobby and rooms were nice). It may need to be updated. Children would enjoy the courtyard with the swans and old mill with water.
Overall, the perks were amazing and we defintely got a great deal!!! I'm not sure it was the most romantic of getaways but it was a great and affordable place in a good location. This would be a great place for a couple of friends that decide to check on the wineries.....If you're looking for romance, it may not be your spot.
