My husband and I needed a stop-over hotel on our way home from Northern California. We booked the Hampton through the hotel website and received a king bed room for $119/night. Check-in was easy. We were greeted warmly upon arrival, given a full explanation of the hotel amenities, including the breakfast bar for the morning. I appreciated the detail, especially since we were only staying one night. I felt like one of their favorite, returning guests.
The room was a decent size, clean and fairly new. The bed was comfortable, with easy viewing of the flat-screen TV. We used the free wifi to check our emails.
The bathroom was spacious & equipped with a blow-dryer, shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, body lotion & mouthwash.
The breakfast bar in the morning was just ok. Coffee, tea, milk & juices were available, along with a cold cereal selection more geared towards kids, some kind of eggs (they were in squares-not really scrambled, maybe a pretend omelette?), breads for toast, muffins & danish. Enough to get us going, at least.
Overall, it was a great experience and will definitely be back on our next trip north.

We wanted a comfortable suite to relax in while visiting Merced for a dance weekend...and we found it in the Hampton Inn & Suites.

This hotel is clean and appears to be fairly new. The king size bed in the suite was very comfy and had a variety of comfortable pillows. The room was attractive and clean, and the sofa
was comfortable. There was a small kitchen area just inside the door, ( not visible from the room once you are inside) equipped with sink, microwave and refrigerator making it very suitable for someone on an extended business trip or vacation.

The hotel is situated off Hwy. 99 (as were all of the motels/hotels located in Merced). Freeway road noise could be heard in the parking lot. However, with the insulated windows, it was hardly noticed in the hotel room.

Staff was nice, & attentive. The hot breakfast was very good by hotel standards (eggs, fresh biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins, bagels, coffee, tea and fruit juice ) and the dining area was nicely decorated and clean.

All in all, a comfortable, clean and nicely equipped room that
worked nicely for us.

The rooms in this hotel are beautiful - lots of space, great decorating, big flat screen TVs, and extremely comfortable beds. I would highly recommend it if you're stopping along Hwy 99.

Very, very nice Hampton Inn, especially since it is brand new! I agree - the only negative was the freeway noise on the freeway side of the hotel. Love the beds!

The staff was very nice as well!
