I have stayed at Rocky's many times over the last few years and while I've experimented with other accommodations I always return to my home!

The rooms are not fancy, and were never designed nor intended to be, yet I find them very comfortable, extremely clean and well maintained. Judging by how difficult it can be to book a room there I'm not the only one!

Rocky's is located half a block from the centre of Sosua. Near to everything yet just far enough off the main street to get away from the bustle. Everything is nearby including the beach, clubs and discos and grocery store...for supplies.

The food is wonderful with a large menu to choose from. In fact it has the most comprehensive breakfast menu I've seen outside of an IHOP! Rocky's offers their World Famous Ribs, fantastic Garlic or Lime Chicken, terrific and very economical Pizza and Spaghetti to name just a few. I've eaten virtually everything on the lunch and dinner menu and have found nothing I didn't enjoy and much to recommend.

It's the atmosphere that really sets Rocky's apart. Many people regularly frequent Rocky's, locals and visitors alike, whether for the tasty food, to have drinks with friends or use the 5 available computers. Each day there are several groups of regulars that gather at Rocky's, and they and the staff warmly welcome new comers and make them at home. It's a great place to meet new and old friends, exchange ideas and get advice.

I always start my day with breakfast at Rocky's and the company of good friends...and you should too!

This hole in the wall is only ok if you're looking for a puta for the night. It's dirty and noisy, people will bother you to buy stuff from them, the food takes FOREVER, and isn't that good. the rooms are very very basic, which would have been ok, if it was at least clean. the sheets were dirty, the bathroom dirty, and flakes from the ceiling kept falling on me. What a dive! Definately skip this place!

“Great Budget Hotel And Restaurant.”

I am now staying at Rockys for 2 weeks. I had my doubts about coming here, after reading so many bad reviews here and so many good ones on Lonely Planet. I don't know what people are expecting for $22, but I think it's the best deal anywhere except Thailand.
The rooms are ordinary, clean, safe, central, quiet, cool.
The employees are fantastic. The food is the best in town and cheaper than elsewhere, and so are the drinks.
It has a family feeling where everybody knows everybody and visitors are made to feel comfortable.
The last review here, was the one that scared me the most, because I'm a light sleeper, and it was so wrong.
For a downtown hotel, it is surprisingly quiet.
The steaks, ribs, and breakfasts are as good as any I have eaten anywhere in the world.

They advertise as basic, but if you have been through military basic you will recall your barracks with fond memories compared to this place

Motorcycles screaming all night, raucous music from Bordello next door, need I go on?

Rockys is definitely "cheap" but not in the term inexpensive. The place literally is "for the dogs"

We ordered his "World famous ribs" (not in our world) and waited 55 minutes, quite surprising as we were the only customers except a large dog that begged at our table. The place was in serious need of a good washing and brightening.

Atmosphere: Early depression era? Seriously, very dark, old wobbly tables and white plastic chairs is yet they charge the price of a 3-4 star restaurant

Maybe it is an attractive place for the assortment of girls who appeared to be "looking for a date", but as a place to eat and relax, stick with McDonald's McRib sandwich
