We went to Cabarete several times, wonderful little town with plenty of activities. People are so friendly. From our walk on the beach we've seen that superb place with those exotic beds on the beachfront. On our next trip this september we decided to go with Velero Beach Resort. We reserved on internet, easy and quick. We have been totaly amazed by the service and all the accomodations. They also have a gym, massage center, internet center, internet wireless even a conference room. They are offering good breakfast, lunch and diner with a really good service. It's such a quiet place and relaxing. At night, time to party in Cabarete center (5 min by walk) on the beach, wonderful.

My boyfriend and I went to this hotel on vacation. We originally chosed to go to Cabarete because we were told it was such a nice small town. When we had to choose the hotel we compared prices and checked a few websites from different hotels and even though Velero was probably the most expensive one, we decided to go for it because of the pictures. It was a great choice. We arrived and they were nice, they helped us with our luggage to the second floor where our junior suite was. The room was very clean and had a small kitchen where you could cook anything you wanted to, we also had a great view of the ocean. There was supermarket near the hotel where you could find the basics. They cleaned the room everyday and changed the towels. At the time we went there (start of May) the place was pretty much empty. There were only a few other guests so we had the pool to ourselves. I didn't like swimming in the beach because it had so many waves, it is mostly for windsurfing or kitesurfing. The only inconvenience we encountered was that we thought our room included breakfast but it didn't, probably a confusion because we couldn't get that information out of their website.... Overall we had a great time and found everything to be very good. Higly recommended.

Velero Beach Hotel is located at the right end of the Cabarete Beach which is divided in two sections where the left is almost entirely Kitesurfing and right side is entirely Windsurfing. It's a few hundred meters from the windsurfing centers and the rooms are nice and comfortable and breakfast is served nicely on the beachfront. The hotel has an internet room and wireless connection which is quite good as well. The pool could be nicer but the whole theme in Cabarete is centered around windsurfing and kitesurfing so you should mostly be spending your time in the ocean. Overall I recommend the hotel.
