We stayed at Dar Cilla for a week in August. We had a fantastic time, from the welcome on our first night, the drinks with Zoe on the terrace to the helpful suggestions of places to visit and the beautifully furnished room.

Zoe has created a perfect guest house. There is no pressure to have a glass of wine on the terrace with the other guests in the evening but it's such a lovely way to end the day that more often than not you will want to go up there. Zoe is a very interesting lady and kept us entertained on many an evening.

Martina works with Zoe and compliments her perfectly. We were left wanting for nothing and left feeling very relaxed.

I can't recommend Dar Cilla highly enough. We will be returning the next opportunity that we get.

Dar Cilla is a magic guesthouse. Finely moroccan-style furnished and warmly managed, it is the superb setting for your holidays... best, if you are with a partner.

With a power shower of copious hot water beating my body as I stand in the open-air shower on the spacious terrace at Dar Cilla, I look out over the town of Tarifa across the Straits of Gibraltar to the Rif Mountains of Morocco......absolute Heaven. Dar Cilla is a real gem, furnished with imagination and flair to reflect the proximity of North Africa, Apartments are spotlessly clean, all with balconies facing the beautiful inner courtyard. There are 2 fact files jam-packed with information- and personal comment -on places to visit, activities, restaurants etc. but the most captivating is the Moroccan folder,

Dar Cilla organises personalised trips to Tangier and this was why we had returned so willingly for our second visit. We explained exactly what we wanted to see, how long we wanted to stay and basically left the rest to Zoe and Martina, Arrangements were made efficientlly to reflect our needs, clear explanations were given and nothing was left to chance,

As a result we had a magical short break including a fascinating tour of the Casbah with a very knowledgeable guide, a stay in the faded glory of the well-appointed Hotel Continental - full of history and exquisite Islamic mosaics, The cost was very reasonable and well worth it for a hassle-free holiday

Sun-downers on the terrace gazing over the rooftops watching the ferry coming in to port I have a hankering to pour another glass of wine and plan when we can return for a further dose of Dar Cilla hospitality where nothing is too much trouble.

We first stayed here .. having found it on the internet. Scared that it wouldn't live up to the pictures ... it turned out to be even better. Clean but cozy. Sophisticated but warm. Quiet, but still in the middle of it all. We've stayed out of season and in. Always in a different apartment .. each more interesting than the next. It's lovely to be able to feel you have a home when you're away from home and Dar Cilla provided this. We now have our own home in Tarifa but have stayed friends with everyone who looked after us there. A gem.
