This property has gone through several different ownerships, most recently as a Raddison before its current life as the Cosmopolitan (which I guess is an independent, non-franchise hotel).
The main thing that this hotel has going for it is its location. It is one block off the square in Fayetteville and only three blocks from upper Dickson Street, where all the restaurants and night life reside.
The hotel itself is acceptable, but certainly nothing to write home about. The lobby is nicely appointed and well maintained, but the rooms are pretty dated. They are quite spacious, but the air conditioning and plumbing are pretty old. Our A/C gave it up early in the stay, but the maintenance was Johnny on the spot with a replacement unit. Staff was very friendly and accomodating, but the fact is, this is a high rise Holiday Inn. There are very good conference and seminar facilities.
Fayettevile and Northwest Arkansas are booming economically. Hard to believe there is anywhere in the country more in need of an upscale hotel.
