Well I can honestly say that I have never seen anything quite so spectacular!
My friend and I were on a two week trip to Brazil we had 2 nights at Iguaçu.
We arrived mid afternoon and visited the Bird Sanctuary it was just brilliant, I've always loved birds since I was little so I really enjoyed our time there. They've done a brilliant job with the habitat. I have never been in such close proximity to a Toucan they are so photogenic and curious. I sat on one of the railings and one flew down to keep me company. We then went to our hotel Iguaçu Golf Club (not the best place to stay! too much like a British golf club dead quiet and incredibly boring!).
The next day bright and early we went to the Brazilian side of the falls. On the way we hopped on a helicopter and flew over the falls breathtaking! We then went and spent the whole day walking along the pathways by the falls and taking loads of photos. From this side you get the best views of the falls as most of them are on the Argentinian side. Although it's a major tourist attraction it doesn't seem spoilt in the way that many other attractions have been - maybe it's because the masses haven't started invading yet from the UK!
We then went on the river in a boat and that in itself is an experience - be warned wear lightweight clothes which drip dry quickly! Despite our best efforts we got soaked right through to the skin!!! Exhilarating!
On day two we went by coach over to Argentinian side of the falls and they really have got this tourist lark sussed out, no massive queues, lots of information and everything well signposted. Some lovely walks laid out for you to make the most of the place. On the Argentinian side you can really appreciate the magnitude of the falls.
You catch a little train through the wooded area and then you have to walk about half a mile along specially laid out walkways right across the top of the falls and by far the most spectacular view is when you stand right over the Devil’s Throat (the bit where the falls meet and crash down).
I can’t really say much more the photos will hopefully speak for themselves.
