Like many of the recent reviews, we loved the Res. Inn Pentagon City. Perfect for families - we booked a 2 bed/2 bath suite for $117/night. Breakfast was great with lots of choices and plentiful food. Sometimes the eating area seemed to be getting full but there was always at least a couple of tables available. We did not get back in time for the free evening meals.

Easy and safe walking distance to the Metro and the mall. There is a grocery store and several other restaurants just past the mall and also within easy walking distance.

Normally we stay at the Key Bridge Marriott, however, for a change we chose the Residence Inn, Pentagon City. We stayed for two nights, the 3rd and 4th of August. The good part of the hotel is the size of the room which is spacious and even includes a kitchenette. I requested a room with a view, but was refused, told that there weren't any. The breakfast buffet is fine, if you don't mind milling around with droves of people breathing over your neck. There were just not enough tables and chairs for all the guests. In fact, the second day we decided just to bring the breakfast up to our room rather than go through the stampede yet again. Check-in was not the best I've had. I was ignored, this despite the fact that there really was no line to speak of. The only way my reservation was actually taken care of was when I spoke up and asked if anybody was ready to check me in. The parking fee is outrageous. I doubt that I'll be back. The immediate area is nice, with shops and restaurants, the Pentagon, etc. However, I still think that the Marriott, Key Bridge is a better location. Parking there is cheaper, by the way.

We just returned from Washington D.C. trip. This hotel was awesome. The Metro is a short walk around the corner or the hotel shuttle will drop off & pick up. The Fashion Mall is located at the Metro stop. My daughter called it 4 floors of shopping bliss. The Pentagon is directly across the street. The hotel offers a FULL BREAKFAST every day, a big savings when visiting for a week. Every room is a suite with a kitchen ie: stove, fridge, dishwasher, pots, pans, & dishware. The staff was very helpful and bent over backwards to assist with any request or question we had. My son said it was a 5 star visit for him. We would gladly book this hotel again when we visit the area.

We stayed three nights; found the Pentagon City Residence Inn to be very clean, well staffed, and convenient. The breakfast each day was plentiful, and the staff are constantly cleaning etc. Parking was great-- we paid a flat fee for each day and could get our car in and out as we needed. 1 1/12 blocks to Metro station so it wasy very easy to get into DC.

Beds were great-- our teenagers comments say this -- "Really GOOD donuts!"

Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
