Maybe no one expects anything but when I have trouble with a hotel, I will not give it a high rating like some others on this site. There are too many businesses that care about customers and those are the ones that get my money.

Upon check-in, I ask for a room with a mountain view. None were available and I said that was okay. When we get to our room, it is behind the roof of the covered drive through. So not only did I not have a mountain view, the whole window was blocked. So we went back downstairs and got another room. Anyone being assigned the room with a blocked window should be told before they go to it. The front desk person didn't apologize but acted like it was such an incovenience.

When I called to get access to the wireless internet, I was told I had to go back downstairs to get the code as it was different for each person. The front desk attendant(same one) would not give it to me over the phone. So I went downstairs. After hours of trying to get it to work (I am an IT professional), tech support said the local company that contracted the service did not have their access site set up correctly and they would open a ticket. As I had work to do, I paid for access out of my own pocket.

The towels in the bathroom had been used in a smoking room or the hotel staff is allowed to smoke in the laundry room.

The shower curtain blew in on you the entire time because the hotel did not spring for shower curtains that have magnets on the bottom. The hotel probably saved a dollar.

The quality of the iron was less than that of the iron I had in my dorm room years ago. It would not iron the wrinkles out of a simple cotton shirt. The hotel probably saved 5 dollars.

The coffee was Maxwell House. The hotel probably saved less than a dollar.

Anyone of these things, is okay. I know it is not the Ritz-Carlton. But clearly, the ownership and management tried to cut every corner possible and that attitude filters down to staff. Indifferent.

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago for a weekend car club event. The room was OK, the rate was good, and the staff was friendly and responsive to some requests that I had that related to the Club event. The breakfast area was a little small, and the fare was limited for the free breakfast. The main issue that I had with the hotel was the adjoining doors connecting the rooms. They had zero sound deadening material. I had no one next door for the first two days, and it was quiet enough. But the last night some bus driver came in next door at 12:30 a.m. and started making phone calls. He was loud, and carrying on with those he called, and it actually woke me up from a sound sleep. [not an easy thing to do usually] I ended up putting in earplugs so I could get back to sleep. So basically, if you have someone loud/or a family with kids, or the TV on loud, it can be a challenge to get to sleep without pounding on the walls or door. I complained to the desk in the morning and the clerk said "Oh, I guess that was the bus driver who came in late. " On the upside the ruckus caused me to leave earlier in the morning than I would have so I got home earlier. I would stay here again but would ask for an end room to cut down the odds of loud people on both sides.

I had to change rooms because the TV wasn't working and they couldn't fix it. Started with a 3rd floor room, went to a 4th floor room. The 3rd floor room was nicer. Both rooms were large and clean, comfortable mattress, many TV channels, iron, hair dryer. Slow dial up only, though. And the breakfast wasn't as good as most others. Overall, at under $60, I've paid more for less.
