but they made us walk like crazy !
This HYATT REGENCY has everything you may expect from HYATT.
It is brand new, run by a team of top serviceable and ultra-polite staff, it is gorgeous in classy chic contemporary design and room equipped with latest high-tech amenities.
A few tips :
1 – Being situated at about 2 km east of the station, right next door to UNESCO heritage Sanjusangen-do, it takes half an hour to walk back there. There is no shuttle service, but one complimentary taxi ride from the station to all guests with a valid reservation, provided they use the “MK taxi” company. This ride usually costs about 700 yens. The nearest subway station is on the way to the station, about 10 minutes, by the river. This line goes north-south, to the city centre. There is also a bus stop, right in front of the hotel, and 2 lines go straight to the station from here.
2 – There are few dining/entertainment options in the area, but 2 convenient stores are close by.
3 – in room LAN connection internet is charged 1500 per 24h, while it is free to browse wifi, if you bring your own to the lobby.
One last thing, but it only applied to us (!) ; we had a room at the far-far-far-far … far end of the annex building so (listen well) from the lobby, we took a lift to 2nd floor, where we strolled down a long long long … long corridor (30, 40 m ?), then we turned left, then we turned right, then took another lift (no, really !) to 3rd floor where our room was. Ppff!!! Any trip is at least 10 minutes from the door of our room to the street.
Now, at 22000, it was not so so expensive to euro carriers like us. But the area is a bit of a sorrow when the evening comes in. If we were to come back here, we’d move closer to the station where people seemed to live, round the clock.
