Excellent experience in a high quality hotel.
Outstanding treatment by all personnel, that also provided excellent advise.
Room was big enough, with a very good toilet/bath area, japanese style. Breakfast service extensive and with some variety.

We stayed at both the Westin (1night) and Hyatt (3 nights). We checked into Westin first and were pleasantly surprised given all the poor reviews we read.

The lobby of the Westin was nice, grand and new. We got checked into our rooms very quickly. We got upgraded to a Starwood Preferred Guest suite which had a living room and a seperate bedroom. Our living room was huge and had spectecular views of the mountains and the city given that our rooms were on the top floor. The room was nice and new and had decent airconditioning, we understand from the staff that hotel was recently upgraded. We ate the buffet at the cafe and it was decent but not great. Westin also had 2 pools and kids area which hyatt did not.

We next checked into Hyatt. The hotel lobby was just as beautiful and grand. However, the lifts were small and barely fit 6 people. We were surprised at how small the rooms were given all the rave reviews. With a baby cot and the luggage, there was hardly any place to walk. Granted it was not fair to compare a Westin junior suite to a Hyatt normal guestroom, my guess was that the normal Westin bedroom was still much larger than the Hyatt room. The room was new so that was no complaint on that front.

In terms of location, Westin was closer to the subway (3 mins) compared to the Hyatt (10 mins). Both hotels had few decent restaurants in the vicinity. Both hotels were close to different attractions.

I redeem points for both hotels therefore price-value consideration was not taken into account. Both hotels were pretty decent but if size of room is a key concern, you should pick the Hyatt.

We too, visited The Hyatt regency for our honeymoon and were also greeted with the same friendly service (i.e. rose, champagne, strawberries) that i have read in other travellers' reviews. The staff here were excellent and really made our stay memorable. The rooms were clean and modern and ours looked out onto the quaint Japanese Garden downstairs. We ate in the hotel restaurants on a couple of occasions and both times were excellent. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to other travellers and look forward to our next visit.
