Tokyo Dome Hotel is beautiful. Very nice inside and out. My room was on the 17th floor, and it overlooked the amusement park behind the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly, the room was large, and the hotel bar was very nice- with outstanding views.

I seem to be in the minority on this, but I felt the location was a little out of the way. When going to Shibuya, Shinjuku, Harajuku, etc. there were normally at least one (if not 2 or 3) transfer involved. Not a huge deal, but there were certainly times that we got turned around coming back to the hotel. We had to make more of a concious effort to really memorize the routes we took (mostly subway) to make sure we could get back. Maybe we missed something, but this aspect seemed to be more challenging than staying in areas like Shinjuku- which was beyond easy to navigate.

That said, Tokyo Dome is a gorgeous hotel, the roller coaster (Thunder Dolphin) and whole Tokyo Dome part behind the hotel was an added bonus and lots of fun!

The Tokyo Dome is a hi-rise hotel right next door to the baseball stadium of the same name. Ever felt like staying in a Tokyo Hotel like the one in Sophia Coppola's movie "Lost in Translation"? This is it. At night, you'll get great views of the immense city from pretty much every room in the building, except for the lower ones. During the day, the views are not so great because Tokyo is more beautiful at night. There are plenty of convenient shopping options in the complex nearby, including many restaurants (also within the hotel). Service, as everywhere in Japan, is impeccable. Hotel staff are corteous, polite, willing to help at all times. Parisians and New Yorkers could learn a lesson or two or a hundred from the japanese.
Rooms are very, very clean and even spacious, in case you think every hotel room in Japan has tiny rooms. Bathrooms in Japan are something else, and you'd have to visit to learn details. On top of it all, this hotel is very affordable, much more so than any hotel of this category in any major city, be it New York, London or Rome. In fact, it is half the price of a hotel of the same quality in either one of the cities mentioned. Mine was a business trip, but I'd recommend this for a vacation as well. But do learn some japanese, because english is almost useless in Japan.

Tokyo Dome is situated at the center of Tokyo's metropolitan area, next to the Giants' baseball stadium and 5min walk to JR Suidobashi station.

I have been in Japan many times for many years and this hotel is one of the bests for the money.

It has a good restaurant for breakfast, a little pricy though, but all is pricy in Japan anyway. Highly recommended for business travelers.

We stayed at tokyo Dome Hotel twice in July 2006 and had a superb view from our room both times. The hotel is very clean and rooms pleasant, service friendly. The location of the hotel is great in many ways but especially if you fancy getting to know Japanese modern culture: a baseball game at the Dome, right next to the hotel. We had great time watching Tokyo Giants play! There is also many restaurants around the Dome and the hotel.
