I ended up at the Grand Pacific because I had Starwood points that needed to be used to lower the cost of my Tokyo stay. I was a little concerned about how far away Odaiba seemed from downtown Tokyo, but it ended up being nice to take a break from the hectic pace of things in the city and relax in Odaiba.
The hotel itself is beautiful. As mentioned below, it's a popular spot for weddings, and the atrium was decked out in white gauze when I was there.
The front desk was nothing but helpful, and they had a helpful group of people working at the takhuiban luggage delivery desk (so that you can have your bag overnighted to your next destination--so handy!!). I asked for a higher floor room, and was upgraded for free to a room with a bridge view (thanks!).
The room was very spacious--bigger than anything I've stayed at in a major city. The bed was a bit hard; I used all the extra pillows to create a faux pillow top for myself. The view was extraordinary, esp at night. The proximity to the train was awesome (not, as many have noted part of the usual Tokyo Metro or JR, but you *can* use your Pasmo on the line), and having the Aqua City Mall right there was great. I also loved the 24 hour convenience store on the 1st floor and the yummy ice cream parlor as well!
The free Internet was VERY fast, and I never had a problem with it. The tv worked out fine too--it might be a little confusing at first as there are analog stations that use one remote and digital stations that use another. There are guides to help you with it. FYI--CNN is only on analog. I don't believe any English stations were on digital. They *did* have a bilingual button that helped me to watch movies that had been dubbed into Japanese from an originally English soundtrack.
The bathroom was fantastic--the shower worked very nicely and the toilet was the usual Japanese kind with all the fun buttons. The maid supplied me with a new set of in-bathroom goodies--even when I hadn't used the day's before! It allowed me to stock up on goods for the rest of my trip ;)
