“Terrific with kids”

Hilton Tokyo Bay

Wonderful place as a base to see Disneyland and Tokyo. Connections by train are easy to negotiate. We did a breakfast and dinner package which probably saved us quite a bit. The meals were buffet style with anything you could imagine. Service at the hotel was truly 5 star and no tipping allowed anywhere. Our room was on the 4th floor which was a kids floor-plenty of room for all four of us with 4 seperate beds. Would go back again and stay at this location.

“Very pricey”

Hilton Tokyo Bay

Apr 30, 2008

We were on the executive floor and the lounge was closed the room was dated and smelled of stale cigarett smoke. (we asked for non smoking). They are renovating the rooms so hopefully this is going to change. The information in the room is in all Japanese with only a few things in English. There is also only one english channel and that was CNN.

There was a very nice view of the water from our room and it was very large. The toilet had a lot of bells and whistles and my daughter liked walking around in her slippers. We did get vouchers for the breakfast buffet and lunch each day of our stay. (executive level perk) Both were good. There is also a Starbucks in the lobby and a small kids play area.

This hotel was ideal for going to the Disney parks because it is across the street from the monorail to the parks. The staff was very helpful and polite and the toiletries in our room were great and very abundant. The indoor pool is separate from the hotel and the outdoor one was closed. With the executive level you do get free acess to the indoor pool. it was a small lap pool so it was not ideal for our toddler who loves to wade because it was about 4 1/2 feet deep throughout.

I would not book the executive level again as it was so expensive for what you got. In fairness I have been told that things are always very expensive in Japan.

“So Much Happier”

Hilton Tokyo Bay

5 of 5 stars
Pasadena, California
Apr 22, 2008

The only reason I stayed here was because my JAL flight from Los Angeles didn't land on time due to weather conditions and I missed my connecting flight. After being stuck in a plane and lines for well over eighteen hours, this hotel was the only thing that made me smile.

The staff was so accomodating to so many disgruntled guests and they really went out of their way to make the whole overdeal much less stressful. I would stay here again and again for being so terrific at midnight on a Tuesday/Wednesday.

“Great place for Tokyo Disneyland/Disney Sea”

Hilton Tokyo Bay

5 of 5 stars
Sacramento, CA
Mar 3, 2008

I live in U.S. but have a family in Tokyo. When I visited my family with my son, we wanted to enjoy Tokyo Disneyland at the fullest, so we decided to stay at Disney Resort. (Actually the year before we did the same and stayed at Sheraton which is next to this hotel)

I booked a reward stay and chose a two double beds room, but when I checked in, they already put an additional bed for extra charge. I told the check in clerk that I don't need an extra bed, so they took it away immediately.

The room was very roomy with lots of nice ammenities. The staff were very courteous (as are in any other hotels in Japan) and we had a very pleasant stay. The breakfast was served at the executive room as I'm a diamond HHonor member, but we had to pay for extra for my son and mother which was pretty costly but the quality of the food was excellent!

They have a very small indoor pool but since it wasn't crowded, it was good enough for my son. You can buy the tickets for Disneyland and/or Disney Sea at the hotel which is always a plus as you don't have to stand in a line at the gate.

I definitely will stay here again, they have so many price choices, and if you are a Japanese, you can take advantage of their special offers (listed in Japaense). The restaurants in the hotel are pricey but if you go back to Maihama station, there are many restaurants near the station at reasonable price.

“Great alternative to actual Disneyland hotels”

Hilton Tokyo Bay

Jan 18, 2008

Booked as a last minute weekend getaway to the Tokyo Disney Resort with my significant other. Location was just close enough, there's even a cute shuttle with Mickey Mouse windows from the monorail station for kids and lazy adults (station is <5min walk). Note that you WILL have to ride the monorail to get to Disneyland, Disneysea or the JR station.

We had a regular room with a view of the water, can't remember the name exactly but it's probably the cheapest and most widely available room. Condition was impeccable. There was a sofa that could be disconnected and moved around. TV was a little small, no big deal. Toilet was a washlet. Hot water was a little on the hot side, so be careful. Two twin beds, which weren't exactly great for a romantic getaway, but that's what is given with the cheapest rate (most Japanese hotels charge differently for 1 or 2 beds). All in all, furniture and fixtures all seemed brand new.

The property is large. Went to the pool, moderate size, very relaxing although be prepared to be around tons of kids (you are near Disneyland afterall). Beer and other goodies available at the pool snack bar. Locker room was useful as well. Dining options are somewhat limited, buffet is a little pricey but was included in our plan. Buffet was decent, typical of Japanese buffets meaning limited choices but excellent quality. Starbucks on the property definitely a plus and good alternative for any meal.

If you can read Japanese, I'd recommend booking a room through their Japanese website as they have many offers which include free entrance to the pool (around 20USD!!!) and free meals.

Overall, a safe choice for all ages.
