We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Thien Thanh Hotel in Hoi An. All the staff were very helpful and cheerful throughout our stay - so much so that we extended our stay in the hotel by 6nights! We were also included as hotel representatives in the Hoi An Festival Cyclo race - the staff organised costumes, make up, transport and it was one of the highlights of our 9month round-the-world trip. Easily the nicest hotel that we have stayed in.

The hotel was far more than expected. Wonderful room, friendly, helpful, smiling staff. Small details add up to a magnificent experience. Definetly worth a visit.

The staff are warm and lovely. Nothing is too much trouble. It was easy to swap rooms when we saw the outlook the rooms had at the back of the hotel- quiet market garden, a surprising number of gum trees which was lovely for an Aussie to see. The staff, especially the women, were also wonderful with my four year old son. The hotel is very close to the old town and very nice restaurants. The hotel is beautifully presented with every detail given attention. Loved the frogs, birds and fish! The pool is fabulous after a hot day, seeing the sights.

I was very exited about staying at this hotel given the many great reviews it has received. But I have to say that after having lived and traveled in VN for a long time, I was more than disappointed by my stay here.

First of all, the hotel had given our room to another guest. We had to struggle to get it back even after the other guest had moved out. The rooms are decorated fine enough, but our door had small holes (gaps) in it that meant a lack of privacy. The sheets on our bed were also dirty upon arrival and we had a hard time getting them changed.

Overall, there is definitely better value for your money in Hoi An. Especially, if you want to make sure you have a room and not get stuck with the town's 'leftovers' after this hotel overbooks.
