Hotel itself was lovely and clean, staff were friendly and polite-always helpful but not my idea of a 4* hotel. Evening entertainment was poor and very loud. Food was good but not much choice, especially for breakfast.

ServiceSolo holiday
I have just returned from Yasmine Hammamet and the Melia Flora Park Hotel .I chose the hotel as it looked as if it would be quiet and clean. I holidayed alone by choice as I just wanted to chill. I do holiday with husband / friends and family but I also enjoy solo holidays and like to choose a base where I think that I will feel safe. The hotel did not disappoint. For most of the year I am sociable and outgoing but oh the bliss of a few days alone, reading , snoozing on the beach and in this hotel also relaxing in the garden and enjoying a swim. in the pristine pool . For me it was a plus not to be kept awake by entertainment!! The joy of drifting off to sleep at 10 pm. I am sure that many oft he guests did socialise and I did momentarily awake on occasions (not that it bothered me) to hear the clip clop of guests returning to their rooms in the early hours .The food was fine - not haut e cuisine but more like home cooking and the deserts where too good to resist. and also there was always fruit .On the beach the cafe did good lunch time barbeques. I did swim in the sea with mouth tight shut as I was a little unsure about how clean the water is but then I have been spoilt as in the past I have swum off the coast of Bonaire in the Carribean .It is only three hours from the UK to Tunisia.
The resort on first impression is a bit weird as it is so manicured and new but it met my requirements.
I did have to get used to a bit of hassle and banter but did not feel threatened. and on balance the Tunisians offer a very warm welcome. I did acouple of trips out to Hammamet on local transport and then on an organised trip to Catharge and Tunis and a beautiful village with distinct white and bkue houses .
INext holiday will not be so peaceful as there wil be 12 of us in Spain and so I will be trtpping back to my room in the early hours rather than early nights!!
Just back from 5 weeks at the Flora Park. A delightful hotel with lovely friendly staff. Loved the reception staff especially Abdel, and little Bessam in the dining room was so mannerly and kind. Really loved our rooms even though we were moved 3 times!!
The rooms very v. spacious and bright, and the food was lovely even though the diningroom was a battle ground when there was too many guests. The entertainment was mediocre but picked up for the 2nd half of our holiday.
Bob was very two faced and insincere, and we could not help wondering what was all the fuss about him???
Apart from this we had no other complaints, and we enjoyed our hols and would return again.
A few problems at begining of holiday but all were put right.
The food was good but was not hot but that was put right eventually.
Entertainment was basic but they did their best with the number of people that were staying.
The resort was nice and clean but very very quiet no one about at all at night and beaches were deserted.
I would recommend Yasmine Hammermet to stay it is a resort just for tourists but go out and see the real Tunisia it is a good experience. People are nice but can be a bit pushy at times all in all it was a good holiday. Stayed for a month and it was really good value

ServiceBooked my stay through travelrepublic for an absolute bargain, and didn't expect too much. Went three times as I was meeting a friend. The hotel is small, very clean- food is good- buffet style, though a little repetitive except on Friday they have a fantastic couscous with vegetables, chickpeas and chicken. Please try it! I've had quite a few different varieties of this dish from all over north Africa and this is one of the best I've had. Breakfast is good too- if you expect bacon this is an ISLAMIC country so do a little research! But they have boiled, fried eggs, omelettes, crepes, croissants, toastm juises, coffee and always have a huge range of salads. The indoor pool has just been refurbished, outdoor pool was obviously ice cold due to the time of year I travelled. Rooms are cleaned every day- would recommend getting a pool view as that is sun side, especially in the winter, and on the third floor if opossible but all rooms are fine, with bathroom, shower, sink and toilet. If you are going half or full board remember that you have to pay for soft drinks even with your meal (except breakfast) and these are very expensive- not that I would advise to sneak in drinks as this is against hotel policy- but you do have a fridge in your room ;-). Staff are friendly, generally have good English but it helps if you speak a little French and watch for people trying to buy your phones as they know the value, and you can sell them elsewhere for more if that's what you want. The rooms have safes an would advise you use one. I had no issue with security at all, but there were one or two rumours (only rumours- no evidence) There is little or no evening entertainment in the winter, so if you want animations book a larger hotel or come in the summer, when there is also a pool bar. For shopping, travel outside of the area- to Sousse, Nabouel or Tunis for the real experience. You can book this through your rep, but it's just as easy to use public transport, or the louage (a minibus that goes from Hammamet to Tunis for around 3 dinars, Sousse for 4, and Nabouel for 1- there is a bus to Nabouel from outside the hotel for just over a dinar) Don't make calls from the hotel; go to the publitel for cheap international calls which is just on the beachfront. All in all, for fantastic value, good food, and a nice beach- this is perfect!
