“Delightful!”

Melia Flora Park Boutique Hotel

Just back from 5 weeks at the Flora Park. A delightful hotel with lovely friendly staff. Loved the reception staff especially Abdel, and little Bessam in the dining room was so mannerly and kind. Really loved our rooms even though we were moved 3 times!!
The rooms very v. spacious and bright, and the food was lovely even though the diningroom was a battle ground when there was too many guests. The entertainment was mediocre but picked up for the 2nd half of our holiday.
Bob was very two faced and insincere, and we could not help wondering what was all the fuss about him???
Apart from this we had no other complaints, and we enjoyed our hols and would return again.

“good value”

A few problems at begining of holiday but all were put right.
The food was good but was not hot but that was put right eventually.
Entertainment was basic but they did their best with the number of people that were staying.
The resort was nice and clean but very very quiet no one about at all at night and beaches were deserted.
I would recommend Yasmine Hammermet to stay it is a resort just for tourists but go out and see the real Tunisia it is a good experience. People are nice but can be a bit pushy at times all in all it was a good holiday. Stayed for a month and it was really good value

“Fantastic value for money, very quiet in winter”

Melia Flora Park Boutique Hotel

Booked my stay through travelrepublic for an absolute bargain, and didn't expect too much. Went three times as I was meeting a friend. The hotel is small, very clean- food is good- buffet style, though a little repetitive except on Friday they have a fantastic couscous with vegetables, chickpeas and chicken. Please try it! I've had quite a few different varieties of this dish from all over north Africa and this is one of the best I've had. Breakfast is good too- if you expect bacon this is an ISLAMIC country so do a little research! But they have boiled, fried eggs, omelettes, crepes, croissants, toastm juises, coffee and always have a huge range of salads. The indoor pool has just been refurbished, outdoor pool was obviously ice cold due to the time of year I travelled. Rooms are cleaned every day- would recommend getting a pool view as that is sun side, especially in the winter, and on the third floor if opossible but all rooms are fine, with bathroom, shower, sink and toilet. If you are going half or full board remember that you have to pay for soft drinks even with your meal (except breakfast) and these are very expensive- not that I would advise to sneak in drinks as this is against hotel policy- but you do have a fridge in your room ;-). Staff are friendly, generally have good English but it helps if you speak a little French and watch for people trying to buy your phones as they know the value, and you can sell them elsewhere for more if that's what you want. The rooms have safes an would advise you use one. I had no issue with security at all, but there were one or two rumours (only rumours- no evidence) There is little or no evening entertainment in the winter, so if you want animations book a larger hotel or come in the summer, when there is also a pool bar. For shopping, travel outside of the area- to Sousse, Nabouel or Tunis for the real experience. You can book this through your rep, but it's just as easy to use public transport, or the louage (a minibus that goes from Hammamet to Tunis for around 3 dinars, Sousse for 4, and Nabouel for 1- there is a bus to Nabouel from outside the hotel for just over a dinar) Don't make calls from the hotel; go to the publitel for cheap international calls which is just on the beachfront. All in all, for fantastic value, good food, and a nice beach- this is perfect!

“Practically Perfect In Every Way!”

The hotel itself was absolutely stunning - better than the brochure. Rooms were large and immaculately cleaned - every day. Only problem was a shortage of powerpoints but still manageable.

Staff where mega helpful, polite and respectful. As a young lone female traveller I obviously had my concerns but there was no need for them. Unlike a lot of places I've been before I was not hassled by staff, but they politely and subtly always checked I was ok when I was coming and going as outside of the hotel gates things can get a bit 'hairy' with the locals. All the staff could speak at LEAST 3 languages fluently (English, French and Arabic), though many could do more.

The food was delicious - loads to choose from and excellent quality. There was always more than enough to go round. Being a fussy eater I was a bit worried I would end up living on snacks in my room, but not at all. Service was excellent, efficient, friendly and personal. Never a dirty plate on your table for longer than a minute or two - but they weren't fussing around or in the way, and definately didn't make you feel that they wanted you to finish up - seemed more like they knew how horrible it is to sit with dirty plates about. There was never a buffet food tray left empty or a table left unset. Not sure of his name, but there was a young chef standing every morning who would make your omelettes and crepes to order infront of you and they were SUPERB! Loads of fillings to choose from too.

Pool was cleaned and maintained every night and perfectly situated to catch the sun all day on clean comfortable loungers. More than enough to go round at this time of year, though not sure how it would be with full occupancy during high summer season.

Can't rave enough about the place - it was outstanding. Would recommend it to anyone.

“Very Relaxing”

I stayed at the Flora Park with my boyfriend for a week at the end of September and we really enjoyed it. We just wanted to relax on the beach mostly so we came to the right place. The hotel was clean, the food was great (I guess you either like that kind of stuff or you don't!) and the staff and locals were cheerful and friendly; happy to oblige us with food and beers even though it was Ramadan. I'd recommend it as a place to stay - not especially interested in whether it's actually a four star or not, I'd just say that we got really good value for money!
