After staying at the Splendor ages ago and being very disappointed, I was looking for somewhere better to stay in Kaohsiung. A close friend of mine recommended the Han Hsien International, and it turned out to be excellent.

The staff were very professional, every single person we encountered greeted us and were very pleasant.

Check-in and check-out were both fast and efficient.

The breakfast buffet was quite amazing, even considering that I travel in Asia quite a lot and am used to the usual spreads. They even had soy milk and rice milk, which was an unexpected surprise.

Now, for a few niggles: They gave us a fruit basket with an apple, a pear and a kiwi fruit, but no plates and cutlery or means to eat them.

The furniture and carpet were a bit tired, but clean.

There was only a little ledge big enough to put a bar of soap in the shower, but it was too short for the complimentary shampoo and shower gel.

Speaking of the shower, the water was hot and plentiful.

I will definitely be staying at the Han Hsien again.
