Stayed at the Red Roof Inn for two nights, Dec 10 and 11th 2007. I booked the reservation the same day as arrival on thier web site, and the hotel did not have the reservation when I checked in late that day. However, they honored the rate with no questions asked. The rooms have clearly been updated very recently and are much more upscale than the typical Red Roof. They had very nice bathrooms, real granite countertops for the sink area, all new very nice furniture, etc. To be blunt I was pretty surprised despite the good reviews that I had read on Trip Advisor. Also, when you sit on the matresses you can feel the springs working but were actually very comfortable when sleeping. Decent work area as well and a large screen TV (not flat screen - this is a Red Roof after all) However, some things to keep in mind - this is a Red Roof so no shampoo or blow driers, and the internet also does not support VPN software so business travellers beware. On other comments on overhead flight noise, I also did hear flight noise but not at night too late. This hotel, like nearly all of the others on Wolf Road, are VERY near the airport, and this includes hotels like the $250+ Marriott. Nearly all of the hotels on Wolf Rd are clustered near the airport, so if you do not want any flight noise, don't book any hotel on Wolf Rd. For me (and I am sensitive to noise in hotels), the flight noise was rare and not a problem. Will definitely stay here in the future.
