We have just returned from the most relaxing two weeks at the Sea Star. If you are looking for a remote, away from it all, small and friendly place to stay, this hotel will make you feel welcome.
It is one hotel, not a complex, so be aware that you will be going to the perfect place to get away from it all. Mountains and beach, and sunshine!
The hotel is very clean, fresh towels every day. Thank you to Ahmed our wonderful cleaner. we had a family room with a sea view, just for the two of us. From our balcony you could see the coastline of Jordan and Saudi, also the Israel border is not far.
Food was great, salads fresh and good tea bags! We were all inclusive, you did not have to pay extra for water, also you could fill up your 2Litre water bottles no prob!
All the staff were so helpful and always polite....not to say the same of the Russian/Polish guests who were always so rude to the staff. They work such long hours and please and thank you goes such a long way.
The beach bar man and the bar men at the hotel really looked after us....nothing was too much trouble. Also the guy on the beach who gave out towels, so friendly.
We did two trips, St. Katherines monastery an Petra Jordan, both we enjoyed. Wish we had enough money to do more trips, slightly on the pricey side.
Our rep from Thomson Mary was great, very helpful and around if you needed her.
Must mention Casper the animation and his team....always on the go!
The Sea Star is a great base to visit Jordan, Israel etc. This hotel offers good service and is great value for money.
We had NO problems at all with upset stomachs....coming back on the plane we spoke to people staying at the 5 star Radisson hotel in Taba Heights where loads of guests were getting sick.
So paying more money for a posher hotel doesn't always mean it is better!
I would recomend 100% the Sea Star to anyone who wants a quiet, value for money sunshine holiday.
We did not want to leave and go home.
