“Very relaxing break”

I stayed at the Baron Palms for 10 nights and had an excellent stay.
The hotel was immaculate and the service was fantastic.
Just to pick up on a few negative reviews i have read;
-We got up at 10.30 am most days and never ever had a problem getting a sunbed at the pool or beach!!You may not get the exact one you would like but needless to say you will get one
-The service is fantastic the waiters around the pool and in the bars always ensure you have a drink to hand and really look after you
-The view from the back of the hotel is not great but it was made clear to me when booking if this bothered you to pay and upgrade to a pool view room
-The drink selection is not brilliant and there is only a few cocktails on AI but there are loads of non alcoholic ones so ask for one of theese with rum in which is no problem then you have a much bigger range!!(oh and they do give you nibbles with
drinks in the veranda bar)

Some people have compalined about lack of bars/restaurants in the evenings but all this is shown in the brochure before you book so i don't know what they expected!
Food it the buffet was repetative (they have theme nights which are better) but we never had a problem booking into the paradise or Egyptian on the morning we wanted it and the food was lovely in both of theese

The pool area was really nice as was the beach but we found the beach much busier especially with kids so stayed by the pool and took advantage of the drinks waiter service, ice cold face towels, sunglasses cleaner and iced fruit brought around to you. Somedays we walked down to the beach and snorkelled, the snorkelling is not as varied as other hotels i have been to in Egypt but is very safe and easy brilliant if you are a begginer.

I did get ill when i was there, really bad cramps which i had to take antibiotics for and still dont feel back to normal now i am home which did put a downer on the trip, i will howvever say i got them in a different hotel i stayed in in Sharm last year and everyone at the airport on landing was complaining about this i dont think it is any particular hotels just Egypt in general.

You do get hassled a bit to buy extra things eg theme nights, massages but they target you on your first day and leave you alone for the rest of the stay.

This hotel is not a 5* by European standards but you have to keep in mind what you would pay for a 5* AI in Egypt for 2 weeks to what you would pay many other places in the world and work out if you think it is good value for money.

Overall i had a fantastic time and if you are going i am sure you wont be dissapointed - didnt get 5/5 as have stayed in better hotels but would def return as long as the price was reasonable

“1 week all inclusive”

Baron Palms Resort Sharm El Sheikh

My mum and I go away for a week together every year and based upon the reviews I read we chose the Baron Palms at Sharm. I agree with all the comments about the cleanliness of the hotel absolutely fantastic!! BUT bearing in mind the hotel holds 600 guests the pool area and beach are FAR TOO SMALL. I thought it was history but people actually get up at ridiculous times just to put out their towels on the sun loungers. One day we went to the beach around 10.30 and there were no sun loungers at all. The snorkelling is great but again the area is FAR TOO SMALL and very busy and the jetty is made of buoys so difficult to walk on especially for the elderly. The food generally is good always something there suitable to choose from. With all inclusive as described by others only includes local alocohol and this is something to be believed, however the wine is not too bad. It definitely helps to tip the waiters so that you get the service around the pool area and beach!!! I also believe that people pay the towel attendants to put out towels for them first thing in the morning!! (they often dont appear until around mid day/afternoon. All in all it is a pleasant hotel but too crowded and busy for us. We have been to the Hyatt in Taba and although not AI would rather go back there than here as long as you are not looking for nightlife.

We have just returned from the baron palms after a 2 weeks stay with friends, what can I say the hotel is absolutely gorgeous,so clean, they left no stone unturned,we have been to the red sea 4 times now, this time we went with friends who had never been there and didnt really fancy it when they booked it but we persuaded them to try it,now they want to go back next year.
The staff are so friendly,Waleed in the terrace bar has such a good sense of humour he made our evenings with his tricks as there is not a lot going on in the evenings, but that didnt bother us as we had gone for a relaxing holiday and we prefer the daytime anyway.
The snorkelling was amazing, just jump off the jetty and you can see all coulours of fish you just dont want to get out.
The food was good, there was always something we liked, the cakes were really really good, some people say they find the food repetitive but then who has 14 different meals in a 2 week holiday!
All in all we had a brilliant holiday and I would have no problem recommending this hotel to friends or family.
Before we got there we phoned the hotel to arrange transport from the airport to the hotel which was waiting for us even though we had 1hr delay, and when we got to the hotel we were told it was free, which was good, also we got invited to the managers cocktail party where we met the manager who gave us our room until 6pm on the day we were leaving free, our fight was at 10.20pm,the normal charge is about £30 so if you get an invitation make sure you go,some didnt and regretted it.

“Loved Baron Palms hotel, Sharm”

Baron Palms Resort Sharm El Sheikh

May 8, 2008
7/7 found this review helpful

A 35 year gift from my company, I took my husband, brother and his fiance to the Baron Palms Resort for 13 nights from 17 April. Having never been to Sharm we started with a list of about 20 hotels but Baron Palms met our criteria perfectly. It is a beautiful hotel - but what made it for us was the people that work there. They were so helpful and courteous - we came away having made many new friends. Our rooms at the side of the hotel overlooked the sea - it was always very peaceful. We ate in all the restaurants - our favourite being the Paradise bar (thank you Solymann/Mata/Mahmoud/Samy - all of you) - we also took advantage of the Indian and Italian discounted meals. All were wonderful. The pool staff worked tirelessly and were very entertaining into the bargain (thanks guys). I only have one negative comment and that is you do need to rise early if you want a sunbed with shade poolside. A special mention to Mamdouh on concierge - it was wonderful to meet you. I promise we will be back and hopefully this will be in 2009.

This is a fantastic hotel. We found the staff very friendly and they couldn't do enough for you. Everywhere was immaculate both inside the hotel, around the pool, all of the gardens and the beach, the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The food catered for all tastes and with the option to choose other restaurants you were almost spoilt for choice. This was a truly relaxing experience and we enjoyed this so much will definitely be going back again. Talking to other guests who have stayed elsewhere in Sharm they too would come back to the Baron Palms. Would i recommend this Hotel............Yes without any hesitation...............Book it!! You will not be disappointed
