We were put in a room10 mins walk away from the Restaurant, baretc Food was only ever lukewarm & was ill by the 3rd day which was my husbands 60th Birthday(the purpose of the holiday to celebrate the occasion) The all inclusive was a disaster, plastic glasses were dirty & only a third filled with lukewarm beer.If you needed a mixer it had to be obtained from another bar by youself.Glasses had to be totally empty before we could get another drink & the staff ignored guests whilst they talked amongst themselves. It became so stressful that we stayed in our room & had a drinkpurchased in naama bay as the local shops didnot sell alcohol & they were filthy. Our room wasnot cleaned on 3 occasions. Rep was totally disinterested & cmplaint to Med hotels has received no response to date.So glad that we only had to endure this for a week & couldn't wait to get home.Very disappointed as we paid a lot of money for what can only be described as a disastrous experience-not recommended & would never go back.

“it should be called delta shame”

Delta Sharm Resort

May 12, 2008

arrived at delta sharm and at first sight the pool area and grounds excellent then..... the rooms were shabby would never do anything in the kitchen as it was disgusting as was the shower although the staff came and cleaned everyday and were lovely. The mealtimes were a little like groundhog day the same rubbish everyday. If you like sausage sliced ,diced,or whole, cold french fries you will be okay, the rest of the food was cool if not cold ,dining areas were shabby.Moving along lastly to the bar ..... and that is a loose term drinks were warm and offered in a small white plastic cup the kind you have at a 5 year olds party. All in all i would not recommend this hotel to anyone at the moment they would have to revise the all inclusive option as they dont treat you the same as a guest with money in their pockets.

I would like to say that i had an amazing time at delta sharm. The staff all work so hard for so little and will always do their best to help you if you are polite!. Having said this if you expect 4* then you will be dissapointed. The rooms are all different depending on who you book with. Ours was owned by Delta and could definatly do with a make over. The food could only be described as different, but then you are in eygpt! and with prices so cheap you can always eat out or buy something english from the snack menu. This is free to AI during 2.30 and 4.00 each day. I would also like to point out that the bar is a bit of a joke with small plastic cups for AI and only 1 drink allowed at a time, but if your sat next to the bar wich we usually were then its no bother. All i can say is my friend and i are going back in 6wks so it cant be that bad. If you just want to relax in beautiful surroundings, then this is the place. If you want 4* treament, then choose somewhere else!!..

“Avoid like the plague”

We had actually booked a different resort, since we do a lot of research into where we're staying normally. This place was dropped on us at the last minute and we had no choice in going there.
From the moment we arrived we could tell it was bad news.
The staff can hardly speak a word of English, and so asking if the 'luxury studio apartment' we'd been promised was what we were getting, was difficult to say the least.
After having trouble finding us, we were eventually taken to our room on a golf buggy!
The resort is too big, with very little by the way of iminities. It takes forever to walk to the restaurant and bar. One of the bars was never open.
As for shops, they have a half-decent supermarket, an internet cafe, a chemist and about half a dozen hairdressers! So you're OK if you want to be 'coiffured'!
They have a zoo with no animals (maybe they all escaped and were disguised as staff?).
We were all inclusive but I'm still unsure as to how they could class it as that since there were no snacks or icecream and the drinks were very limited. There was one pool bar that served drinks but they ran out quickly and never bothered replenishing stocks.
Food was dire and exactly the same every day. We ate out most of the time.
Their beach, which is a 10 min drive away, with a bus only going there twice daily, had no free drinks or snacks and the food/drinks on offer were overpriced.
Staff were ignorant and rude, and sexually harrassed female guests.
I wanted to return after 2 days but the resort rep didn't even bother getting back to me with flights, and nobody was interested as to why I wanted to leave.
Our 'luxury studio apartment' was a basic ensuite, twin room complete with cockroaches and ants, a broken lock, and a kettle but no tea/coffee/sugar.
The place is overrun with cats who constantly beg for food.
There was a man-hole outside our room where the staff disappeared down quite frequently. The hole was left wide open, with no warning signs or barriers erected. How some small child has not ended up down it is beyond me. Mind you, it's a new complex - give it time.
It's really poorly lit on a night time with hardly any signage telling you where anything is. It took us almost an hour to find the restaurant on our first night, in the pitch dark. The map they give you is worse than useless.
Do yourselves a favour, spend a little more and stay at a Hilton or Radison. This place is the pits.

“Poor Delta”

Delta Sharm Resort

2 of 5 stars
EDINBURGH
May 9, 2008

Just back from 10 nights in Delta Sharm most definately not a 4 star complex not even close! we were in a one bed suite it was ok apart from horrible stench from drains, managements resolve to this was to send a guy next day with an aerosol,(wowee) wasted our time complaining in the first place as you have to stay in your apartment till they arrive and thats forever (be warned)
the pools & gardens are nice but the bars are hopelessly managed, our pool bar ran out of stock on a couple of occasions meaning the barman (their is only one at each bar) had to walk 10 mins there and back to the main bar to replenish stock if it was available (carried back by hand in bags) meaning bar was closed while he was gone. the drinks are always warm as the
fridges including your room are warm all the time.

the food is seldom varied but always cold , restaurant table and chairs are old with filthy ill fitting cushions on chairs, they have taken delivery of some new chairs which are available but they have,nt even took the trouble to strip protective polythene off them properly, the dining areas extremely shabby.

All-inclusive package not worth the money, if considering coming to this complex self catering would be your better option.

This was our third visit to Sharm each of our other visits were great but this was a real let down, we would not recommend
this complex to anyone, but we will come back to Sharm el sheikh
