THE FOOD
If you love Russians or Eastern block people this is the place for you, the hotels caters mainly to these peoples taste and appetite. If you like cold soup, fish heads, complete with the staring eyes, raw potatoes and most of all cold food, you will be in your element. They fill their plates to overflowing and make sure that no food is left for others; almost every thing that can be said about this awful hotel has already been said. Also although we were all inclusive there were no snacks between breakfast and lunch and lunch and evening meal which did cause a problem in my case being a diabetic.
THE ROOMS
The one thing in favour of the Plaza is the rooms; ours was spotless and mopped out by the room boy every day. The towels were changed each day and the bed linen every 2 days.
THE POOLS
The 2 swimming pools were clean and warm but the roof pool seems to have a deaf barman as the music is so loud you have to sit at the far end of the pool before you can hear yourself think. You also had to have the company of the towel boys when they decided to join the guests for a swim in the pool to cool down.
THE BAR
If you want a drink, be prepared to wait. At each bar there is a barman and the man that prints the bill and there is no flexibility between these two. If one of them is missing you don’t get served, it is as simple as that. The barman is not allowed to print the bills and the man that prints the bills is not allowed to serve. The bars also had the problem of running out of beer and coke. When they did run out that was it until the following day when they would ‘stock’ up the bar all the drinks are served in paper Coke cups I expect the hotel gets them free. If you drink beer you will note that you do not get a whole bottle of beer, you only get a plastic coke cup full; the rest is left in the bottle for the next person who wants a beer, the longer that takes the flatter the beer, and no, you can’t have the rest of the beer in another plastic cup, only one cup per person.
THE HOTEL OVERALL
We paid £240.00p for 14 days each ‘all inclusive’ even at this low price it was not value for money if I were forced to go there again I would go bed and breakfast and even then I think we would be looking at eating breakfast out.
As has been written before the hotel entrance looks 5* but then it rapidly goes downhill to about 1*.
My advice is to give this hotel a miss.
