The partner Turquoise Beach hotel is a lovely hotel its small and
have a nice beach and the rooms furniture isnt so good but the room is always clean the Staff is so friendly and helpfull its nice place for old people and families and couples because its quite and its also away from the center of Sharm El Sheikh But its not a great problem The great problem is the food quality but i think the hotel in overall is good because what we pay is equal to the quality we recive.

“Awful, just awful!”

This hotel is certainly not a 4 star hotel on anyone's grading system. Two stars would be generous. Anyone expecting four star standards will be bitterly disappointed.

It has its good points. Rooms are of adequate size and clean. The pool is of good size and clean. Staff are in general friendly and helpful. It's an easy stroll to Sharm Old Town and market. It is cheap.

Now the bad points. Surely the food has to be top of the list. Ranging from below average to completely uneatable, it forces the majority of British guests to eat elsewhere, even after just one night, at the adjoining Italian restaurant (excellent and cheap pizzas) or in the many establishments in the town. It is pathetic that some reviewers seek to make excuses for the food since it is of poor or downright bad quality and badly cooked. The evening's vegetables (just two to choose from) invariably appear on the salad bar the next day. I'm afraid the wearing of a chef's hat does not automatically make one a competent chef. Even the chips one might request are undercooked and quite unsuitable to accompany the lumps of gristle and fat that are passed off as beef and the mackerel heads. It is even beyond the hotel to supply a working toaster. The four slice toaster supplied had just two of eight elements working! Some claim the quaintly named "Paradise Restaurant" is clean, but no attempts are made to control the flies which are a constant nuisance everywhere. Not surprisingly, I suffered a stomach upset before the end of the week and I was certainly not the only one! Such an establishment in this country would attract no customers at all.

Speaking of flies brings us to mosquitoes and other similar insects. These can be quite vicious, their attacks leading one to seek medical attention. It is no coincidence that such a small hotel has a clinic attached that does a roaring trade in painful injections in the buttocks, antihistamines and steroid creams.. And do avoid the spray used around the grounds every early evening - very nauseous!

The all inclusive concept here is somewhat misleading. One local bottled beer in 200ml portions in plastic beakers, a few soft drinks and fruit juices served similarly. One variety of red and white local wine and a few almost undrinkable local spirits. Coffee and tea served from thermos flasks during the day, usually lukewarm at best.. After disembling one flasks of these by accident and seeing how filthy it was, i didn't drink from them again.

The beach is a somewhat scruffy charmless place with slightly opaque waters, hard dark brown coarse sand and little marine life - useless for snorkelling. The road separating the beach from the hotel is a MAIN ROAD with fast moving traffic and is a very real danger, especially to children.

The road can be noisy but it is unlikely this will bother you since intensely irritating music is played from first thing in the morning to last thing at night around the hotel, pool and beach. On the beach, each portion of the beach competes to see who can play the loudest and most irritating music. Oh, and the hotel is also on the flight path to the airport.

The disco/bar is the most soulless place I have ever had the misfortune to attend. The only entertainment is a pool table, and 3 evenings a week, 30 minutes or so of very amateur acts.

To describe this hotel as "four star all inclusive" borders on criminal deception, and I am amazed that any British tour operator should offer it. I certainly would never again trust Medhotels. In over 25 years of foreign holidays, I have never come across anywhere that comes even close to the dire experience I had at this hotel. As a long term hopefully respected contributor to this site, I urge anyone who has booked here to change the booking. If you are still to book, DO NOT BOOK HERE - don't say you've not been warned.

“Lovely lazy break”

We loved this hotel. Our room was spotless. The gardens were lovely, flowering shrubs and nice stonework. The staff were great, so friendly and helpful. We liked the food, it was basic, fresh and healthy - the beef was a bit chewy so we went for the fish and chicken. Don't go if you only like fish fingers, burgers and chips. Also bear in mind the price you are paying, We thought it was good value for money. Do take insect repellant as we both got badly bitten.

“Nice hotel, shame about the food”

We had an all inclusive week here and thought it was OK. It was small & old fashioned so we'd rate it around a 3 star. Good points - all the staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for you, and the rooms were kept immaculately clean by our friendly cleaner. The pool area was nicely sheltered and the beach was fine. The only fault was the food - edible but very boring, salad, rice, pasta, chicken, beef and a vegetable (yes, only one choice!) at every meal. Boring, bland desserts and hardly any fresh fruit. The local beer was excellent but the spirits are awful so take your own duty-free from the UK and just have their coke or juice from the bar! We did the trip to St Catherine's which was brilliant, booked via Med Hotels Rep, and we did the glass bottom boat trip booked through 'BONZO' -see photo - on the beach which we'd recommend. Snorkelling at Fanara beach was great, but much better if you just walk just round the headland from the hotel beach! Would do Sharm again, but not this hotel - will pay more for a good 4 or 5 star next trip!

Me and my partner stayed in this Hotel in September 2006 we had a great time the hotel was clean and the Cleaner was excellent. The food was ok it, although it wasmore less the same throughout the week but you can always eat out for next to nothing if you wish to, this a small hotel so there is a nice atmosphere, i wouldnt really recommend the disco on site - Na'amma bay is the place to go for a excellent night out and its only a short Taxi ride away.
The staff are very pleasant, friendly and helpfull.
I recommend going over to the beach Bar for a nice Cocktail or Two, the Staff there are Brilliant, we made very good friends with Maqmood and Aymon whilst on our Holiday.
Desert Quaddiing and snorkling are a must - the things that beautifull memories are made of.
We will be returning in April 2007 -Sharm is Beautiful.
Me and my partner dressed up as Cleopatra and Ramses on the beach and had our Photo's taken, which was a great laugh.
Cant wait to return we had a brilliant Holiday.
