“Not many English.. lol...”

Partner Turquoise Beach

Jul 20, 2008

Just got back from this hotel, and must say we enjoyed our stay!
All of the staff were very helpfull, pleasent and very polite. Nothing was a bother for them. Every single one had a smile on their faces, and were allways very happy to help with any request we had!!..They also speak very good English...(The Owners however leave a lot to be desired) The food was rather repetative and a bit bland, so we ate out for the last three days, there is a lot of places to eat "good food" and very cheap. (I can well recomend the chinese about 10 minutes walk towards the old town)... There is NO entertainment at all in the hotel!!!...
The rooms are cleaned to a high standard every day, and the hotel is kept very clean and tidy.. you can leave stuff out and nothing will go missing. It is very "multi cultural" guest wise, but very few English were there during our stay.
Take great care when booking trips, there is a lot of these organisers who will try to rip you off..
If you do go.. Please pass on my regards to Mamoud, Mostafa and Nasseem, the best bar staff in the Hotel...
(The ten nutters from England)....

WOODY FROM BILLINGHAM, TEESSIDE, ENGLAND!!

ENJOY!! x x

“Great Holiday, Fantastic Diving”

Partner Turquoise Beach

Jun 3, 2008

Got to the hotel very early in the morning & the staff were very helpful & got to our room straight away. The hotel is in a great location & to not big, it is very clean & the staff are really great, nothing is too much trouble. The pool is nice, always a sunbed around the pool & the swim up bar is just what you need in the Sharm sun. The beach is just across the road & really lovely, plenty of sunbeds & if you tip the old fella who gets your sunbeds & beach towels he will always save you your beds where you want them. If you look across the beach you will see a lift tower if you walk round passed that & a little way along you will find a great reef to go snorkeling loads of great fish & coral.
Me & my partner did our PADI Open Water with the dive school at the hotel they are called Only Six & are really really good, our instuctors were Walter & Stephen. We will be going back to dive with them again.
If you want to go to Naama bay you can get a taxi from reception the prices are on the desk & they will arrange a time to pick you up for Naama aswell. The Old Town is only a five minute walk from the hotel which is nice.
The only down side to this hotel is the food which is quite basic & the Russians!!!!!!

“the sea is amazing”

Partner Turquoise Beach

Jun 1, 2008

This hotel doesn't really cater for the english, we where the only english in the hotel. the food was not to our taste more european but you can order from the cash menu. Alcoholic drinks are very strong. Pool is quite cold but with the heat in sharm its quite refreshing. Also old town is just 5 mins walk and there is plenty to eat and drink there. The beach is over the road from the complex and it's a bay where u can walk straight into the sea as its all sand, excellent for the elderly and children, as most of the coast of sharm is on a reef where you have to get access to the sea via a jetty into deep sea, if you like the reefs there is another beach 10-15 mins walk away where u get various kinds of fish on the reef if you like snorkelling this is the beach to go to. taxi from the airport was £10,00 taxi's are in abundance (watch out for the unlicensed taxis when returning back to the airport as they drop you off outsde the airport on the main road) Overall this holiday was good and we would deffinatly go back to sharm.

“food not so good, all russians staying here”

This hotel was ok. The rooms are nice and clean, the pool is great. The bad- 90% of the people staying at this hotel are Russian, so the staff speak to you in Russian all the time (we are Russian as well so it was OK for us). The food is pretty blah, not much to choose from and quality is questionable. The beach across the street isn't the nicest in Sharm its so-so. The staff were weird. The housekeeping man told me off for using a room towel at the pool and told us to pay 50 pounds for the towel. The music played at the pool was really inappropriate as in rated R very crude and explicit. Nobody seemed to notice all the swear words since they didnt speak english and when I told the front desk guy he thought it was a joke. Check out was a mess, the front desk gave us a lot of problems so we almost missed our flight. And the massage guy at the pool, he totally creeped me out. He gave me a massage and was just really weird about...... asking personal questions and stuff.

“A lot of good points to this hotel”

Partner Turquoise Beach

Me and two friends have just returned from this hotel, we are all 25 years old and the hotel caters for all ages. However saying this the children could get bored, the pool is not huge but you are 20 seconds from the beach so thats ok.

The major problem people have with the hotel is the food… I have done many all inclusives and this is a common problem. Whilst I never got food poisoning nor did anyone I spoke to it was not great, although I know a lot of people who did really like the food. I have to admit I wasn’t a fan – I ate a lot of potato’s and pasta, the desert was good though.

In my opinion it was great that the beer was poured out of a bottle – could never be watered down and was good quality. People moan about plastic cups – it is that for your safety – no one wants broken glass on the beach or around the pool nor do you want to dodge glass in flip flips in the bar area. The music wasn’t incessant and loud in the bar – if it got loud they would happily turn it down. As for someone saying the hotel was under the flight path – I heard 2 planes in 7 days and that was on a Tuesday at 2pm hardly complaint worthy.

The beds are fairly hard but I never had a bad nights sleep, shower was good heat and power, rooms cleaned daily and was always clean hotel. People moaned about mosquito spraying in evening – this is for your benefit and happens in every country I have been to! There are flies around the pool in the day but again this has happens all over Egypt – and ive been a few times! The beach is virtually fly free and has a nice breeze.

There is an abundance of water sports from the beach guy Bonzo – nice guy and gives good discount but the English will always pay more as we are more affluent than the Russians who go there. I paid £20 for quad bikes with no speed restrictions and could also do jumps and slides – no where else will let you, £7 for ringo’s, £50 to have speed boat for an hour (that is for a group not per person) and you get to drive and it was £20 for 2 turns of water skiing. Russians pay about 70% of this. There was also very little hassle from shop keepers in Sharm old town which was 5 mins away.

Na’ama Bay is 10 mins taxi it’l be about £4 but you can get it for £2.50 – we were just lazy and couldn’t be bothered to haggle! Never a problem getting one to or from hotel at any time of day. Nightlife is amazing – Na’ama Bay has Pacha, Little Buddha and Hard Rock as clubs – mainly house music with some R&B, then there are English bars Camel and Tavern and some smoking places. If you are there for nightlife (like me) its great, on Wednesday’s get in a cab to El Fanar – beach party starts at 12 (get there at 12 too) and is brilliant, its not on sand so don’t worry about clothes (£4 from hotel) and Dol Che Vita on Friday’s is a foam party – outdoor club that is amazing – about £5 in cab. Drink prices are about £2 a bottle of beer and £3 large spirit and mixer and £5-£7 for a cocktail. Not great value to be honest. Clubs are £7 - £15 to get into after 12, free for ladies and guys get money back in drinks vouchers.

I love Egypt and will be back next year.. to this hotel, probably not but it was a close call between this and Sharm Holiday, but Sharm Holiday’s was bigger and had an entertainment programme, whilst not superb it was fun and I made friends with entertainment so much so I have followed them around Europe!! All in all it was a good hotel with great guests and the different nationalities mixed well and we were out on nights with Russians and Americans, I would recommend this hotel and bar the food was really good value! Also have to give special mention to the workers, they are always smiling even though they work 21 days and have a week off. Reception was great and so were bar staff. Don’t be nervous if you have booked this hotel you will have a great time!
